I was very pleasantly surprised. As an American living in a small city in Italy, I crave non-Italian food, especially Indian and Mexican. When I take my annual trip to the Costa del Sol, I look forward to eating other cuisines. This restaurant was one of the few that was open and within walking distance of where I was staying, so I tried it for lunch one weekday. The staff were very welcoming and eager to please. The margarita was one of the best I’ve had. The saag paneer was delightful and made wonderfully fresh and spicy with the addition of fresh julienned ginger. The rice was the best I’ve ever had! I enjoyed my meal so much, that I returned with an Italian friend for supper a few days later. This time we shared a Mexican appetizer platter and an Indian one (and 2 margaritas). My friend was equally impressed. At the end of our meal we were offered free after dinner drinks. We opted for Bailey’s and were presented with generous pours on the rocks. Yummy! I...
Read moreA fantastic restaurant which has a great ambience but moreover food is great and authentic too (Being of Indian origin I should know).
We were served by friendly Harry and the lovely owner Raj. They were chatty, polite, and efficient. We went at 7pm so we were the only ones in but in half hour it picked up real good and got busy. However, that didn’t effect the service in any way!
We requested for a non-spicy dal makhani for our 3yr old and they obliged us with a delicious one which our son loved. Our food was delicious too. My wife had nachos and I had chicken tikka for starters followed by assorted Indian mains (considering my wife is a veggie). All was great (not to mention a cheeky mango kulfi at the end). Authentic Indian tasting non-greasy food without any artificial colouring or flavour enhancers.
Service was excellent and food was mouth watering. We are looking forward to be back...
Read moreSo this was a hard one! My second Indian restaurant in Spain and I have to say that it is slightly better than Mini India. We all had a huge variety of different dishes and all looked good. All when asked about their dishes were in agreement that it was good. 8 different people with different likes and palates. Service was good and everything looked clean. I probably would go here for my Indian food in the future. The only thing I can dodge them is not asking how spicy we want our food. Even ethnic food in Spain has no heat! I asked for spice and they gave me a spicy sauce and actual peppers I can add. It made a huge difference to me. In my opinion Indian cuisine needs some heat in form of peppers. My dishes garlic naan, Lamb Dopiaza and plain rice. All good just a little more spice would have made a...
