Well well well, what to say about my experience at this place? I just can not recommend this restaurant to any one who doesn't like to give complaints because l was feeling very bad giving mine to the manager, an lrish man who think can do sangria. My complaint was when l ordered a jug of sangria and instead l got a jug of white wine with lemon. The waiter told me they ran out of the main ingredients so no fruit available. Kindly he offered apologies and L accept them but letting he knows to take this in account when l ask for the bill. When l got it, the sangria was added to the bill instead. I told this to the waiter and he replied that l should speak with the manager. Working in a 4 stars restaurant, l know that if l made mistake, me or my manager would sort the situation out and is my manager who would go to the table to offer apologies and resolve the problem. In this case, was me, the customer, who need to do the move. The first thing l did was to ask if he speak Spanish but with a big "No" he responded. Before l starting the explanation or complaint, he just mention that l got sangria with coantro and peach. None of these ingredients was with the white wine and lemon that l think he made thinking that l would drink without complaint. Apparently he made this "sangria" for many years without any complaints (if the main clients he got are British or lrish, l believe he was right because they doesn't know what sangria main ingredients are. I told him that l'm Spanish and l know what sangria is and he replied "and l'm lrish"! He told me that l won't be welcome next time asking me do not comeback any more so my response was obviously that he don't need to be worried about that because l won't comeback any more and L won't pay the price of sangria if what l got was a bottle of wine in a jug with lemon. One guy from the kitchen came out and told me that l shouldn't discriminate the manager for been lrish saying that he doesn't know how to prepare sangria. This guy was Spanish. I took the bill to my table and l paid for everything but for the sangria. Just to mention before l forget, menu for children is very poor, never ask for hot dog! On my way out, one waiter stop me asking me to pay the rest and l respond l will not pay for something l didnt get and he asked me at least to pay for a bottle of wine as l suggested previously. I went inside again and in front of the manager l asked to the waiter for the price of the wine which it was 9 € more or less (jug of sangria, 16€). The manager didn't say anything. I went outside and l took a picture of the place and L will post it within my feedback in Facebook, lnstagram,...
Read moreThis is a very nice relaxed friendly bar if you sit on the roadside, if you have kids its a kids paradise took my friends boy here and he loved it spent over an hour playing in the large kiddies park. It’s really well thought out and comfortable. The area where the parents sit is all non smoking which is great because I hate smoke and it’s obviously not good for the kids. The food is cheap and cheerful and they have efficient table service can’t fault it. They serve Estrella on draft which I love so I’m happy. They stream live sports events and you can relax in the soft seat areas to watch the match or boxing. They charge 4 Euro for a pint which isn’t bad considering the facilities for children. They do specials such as chicken fajitas for 2 and a free bottle of wine for 20 Euro that’s an amazing price when you consider Las Iguanas in the UK will charge you £16 for chicken fajitas for 1, los Arcos is definitely...
Read moreWe stopped by this place on a lazy Sunday, tempted by the sound of a buffet — but it turned out to be more meh-fé than buffet, if you get me drift. The selection? Grim. Boiled veg and mystery stews that had the flavour profile of a damp Tuesday. As for the kids’ menu, well now, it made the adult food look like fine dining. And the pizza? Jaysus, don’t even go there. It was more like someone slapped tomato sauce on a cracker and called it a day.
To be fair, the one saving grace was the little play area and football patch for the wee ones — gave them something to do while we tried to make the best of things. But truth be told, the whole place had the vibe of a budget holiday in Ayia Napa, two stars at best, where the food’s just something to survive.
Would I go back? Not unless...
