Spain, Andalusia, Estepona, Sea Bridge Restaurant.
We were walking from Bahia Beach to Estepona at 9pm when we passed the Sea Bridge Restaurant and noticed that the restaurant was open. It must have been the first day open this year, it was always closed before. On the sign Sea Bridge Restaurant was missing a letter, actually we would have forgotten immediately, but in retrospect it fits very well with what we have experienced here. We reserved at 10 o'clock in the evening a table directly with sea view. When we came back at 10 o'clock to get our table, everything was occupied and we had to take a seat in the back of the restaurant. It took 15 minutes for a waiter to come and order our drinks. The drinks came another 10 minutes later. We could not order food because we were not given a menu. My wife had to ask twice, only then we got the menu. In the meantime, we had plenty of time to watch what was happening in the restaurant. Many guests were sitting in front of their tables waiting for someone to serve them, which did not happen. Some of them left the restaurant with loud cursing. The waiters, there were five of them, except for one waitress, ran around uncoordinated like hens in a chicken coop and knew how to avoid the actual work. It looked as if they had never worked as waiters before. One waiter, a rather slim and tall man, served two glasses of wine to a couple. When he put one glass on the table for the man, the serving tray tipped over and the glass spilled over the woman's dress. Instead of apologizing, the waiter fled to the kitchen and other guests provided the woman with napkins so she could clean herself. After a while the same waiter came to a table with two water bottles on the tray, but they had not ordered the water, also at the next table no one wanted to have ordered the water, after he could not serve the water at the third table, one of the water bottles flew off the tray and broke on the floor. The broken water bottle was not removed as long as we were in the restaurant. In the meantime, we ordered croquettes with ham, grilled vegetables and a tomato salad with tuna. The croquettes tasted really good. The tomato salad was actually good, but the tomatoes were too warm and there was very little tuna in it. The grilled vegetables we had actually ordered together with the croquettes, unfortunately the vegetables came only after 10 minutes. The bread that we were charged 8 euros had been defrosted in the microwave, the inside was still frozen. Everywhere guests complained, so honestly, I have never experienced such...

Read moreAbsolutely disgraceful, we have lived here for a long time and never realised that some places still extort because of the view which was lovely. 12€ for a plate of chips? Ordered fish of the special but from buying before at various other establishment had an expectation of cost in mind. How wrong was we 80€ for a partly filtered small piece of fish with oil soaked potatoes. Dessert was lovely and the scallops start were very nice. Having the DJ playing good music was another plus. Most disappointing thing besides the overpriced fish was deciding to sit on one of the many empty deckchairs with our drinks only to be told that they were an additional 10€ each 🤔 we are paying customers who had just eaten all the chairs were empty surely it would of made good sense to please your customers happy hoping that they would continue to spend more money which would most definitely have done.
The service was exceptional and the other food was lovely. But we will not be returning as better value establishments and views just...
