Bar Cafetería y Restaurante Abril — Restaurant in Fuengirola

Had a fixed price meal in here on the last day of our holiday. There were two signs out the front, one in Spanish and one in English, we assumed the English was a translation of the Spanish one. Luckily our English friends who live in Fuengirola know Spanish so we ordered from the Spanish menu (which stated starter, drink, main and dessert for X euros). When we got the bill we were charged for our drink and desserts... Only to be told, these weren't included on the English menu. We argued that we'd ordered from the Spanish board but the owner was having none of it. We asked him to check the bill, which he did but when he brought it back, it was even more!! There was quite a considerable difference in the bill between the fixed price and what they'd charged us, so we knew he was probably ripping us off as he thought we were stupid tourists. Our expat friends were furious, so he's lost their custom for sure....

Poor. We booked a table for 5pm for 8 friends in advance for the menu del dia. Only to be told when we sat down that menu had finished at 4pm! The waiter/owner was rude & argumentative. Eventually he offered us 2 starters, 2 mains and a drink from the menu but this was done very begrudgingly. The food was okay but this spoiled our whole experience. Throughout the meal the staff were moving tables, chairs and mopping etc. The service was grumpy, it's a shame because we have been many times for coffee and tapas, it's always been nice. This was a disappointment many of our friends live her but because of the attitude demonstrated here, none of us will be returning....

Service fantastic but charging me €5 for a pineapple juice that is on your menu at €2.20 means you charged me €2.80 for a small bottle of water. Really not impressed I am not a tourist I live here but now obviously will not return. I would like to add that when I went to the till to pay the man asked what I had ordered saw the €5 I was holding to pay and immediately asked for €5 and he didn't ring it in the till or give me a receipt and I didn't have time to question as I had a taxi waiting for me so your explanation and resolution is...
