Ella & I had taken extensive research on where to celebrate being pregnant with our first child, we needed somewhere that was peaceful, beautiful and had great food. after reviewing probably 50+ places in Andalucia... Las Islas was where we chose and it delivered on everything we needed. It was perfect.||The hotel is situated on a picturesque site in the hills of Torreblanca. The view at the coast line below is stunning. When staying here the restaurant prioritises you sit on the newly built veranda looking over the coast line. I mention this because the hotels restaurant is open to the public however they do not get the best seats in the house and they cannot use the pool. They make you feel special.||The hotel has been intricately put together over many years, every plant and piece of furniture has been meticulously chosen to suit. The rooms are flawless, comfortable big beds, TV with Netflix already installed, beautifully tiled bathrooms and fantastic water pressure for the shower... molten brown shower gel and shampoo is a lovely touch. ||The beautiful thing about staying somewhere with only 11 rooms means you get exceptional service and the staff at Las Islas will do pretty much anything to ensure you have a stay that has no worries and allows you to fully relax.||The swimming pool area is exceptionally well maintained and sits within a heavenly garden. The deck chairs are comfortable and the Rose you can order whilst enjoying the 25 degree, wind free sun trap is perfection.||Omar the owner used to run high end Lebanese restaurants in Marylebone, the food is high quality and incredible. The wait time for food can be long, but if you're looking to relax, enjoy your surroundings, have a glass of amazing red wine looking over the coast then clock watching becomes non-existent. We didn't eat here just one time in our 5 day stay... and I wish we had of. ||Omar, his daughter and the staff made our stay incredibly special. They ensured that our laundry service was done to the highest standard, brought us a poker set when we wanted a game to play, they got us chocolate when they didn't have, ordered us taxi's and recommended places in Fuengirola to visit. I can't thank them enough. They were perfect.. Although Omar is a Chelsea fan but I can't hold that against him. ||We could have stayed there in that peaceful sanctuary for much longer. It was like living in a luxurious private grounds that they were lovingly allowing us to enjoy what they had built. We'll never forget our time there and we will certainly come back. ||If you have got this far in my review and you have similar needs that we did... book immediately... you will not regret it. ||Negatives could be that sometimes only part of the poolside gets direct sun at certain times but that's hard to do, the food can take a while but if you're relaxing it's fine (plus they will sort olives, wine and bread first thing). Other than that there are no negatives. ||Can't wait to come back. Thank...

Read moreWe had a fantastic week staying at Las Islas in June. This is a little bit of paradise. |20 minute car journey from the airport which is an added bonus. We arrived around 10 pm and was greeted by Sara who was just lovely and welcoming, although it was late we were offered food. They offer Lebanese food which we have never tried and I am terrible at trying new food but can honestly say I enjoyed every meal we had there. Breakfast was delicious, again a continental breakfast is not normally what we would have so it made a lovely change. always lovely bread, pancakes, fruit , yogurt and the best jams you will ever have every morning.|Normally I enjoy lying by the side of the pool / beach however with the hotel being in such a great location , walking down to the train station encouraged us to visit other places, using the train was simple .40 mins to Malaga city , or 5 mins to Fuengirola Benalmadena is around the same time as well as Miia's which was my favourite once we got off train, we jumped in a taxi to Miia's Pueblo (old Town) cost around 15 euros . Beautiful white buildings, lovely unique shops, cafes and restaurants. lovely way to spend a day! |Or you can stay close by at Torre Blanca beach front which is around a 10 min down hill walk from hotel. The hill is quite steep the first day it nearly finished us off walking back up in the heat but by the end of the week we were up and down in no time at all , if we had shopping we would get a taxi which cost around 6 euros. Although we never spent all day by the side of the pool at the hotel, it is just beautiful , relaxing and a wee sun trap. |The room we had was lovely , everything you needed. fridge with complimentary items was a lovely touch. the room was cleaned every day and fresh towels . All the staff really never catered for all our needs. Nothing was too much trouble, but it was Sara who really blew us away, she really knows her stuff and was so very helpful. she never stopped.| I kept meaning to ask how many languages she knew because she seemed fluent in every language we heard when she would be talking to other guests.|We had a great holiday and will ...
