We traveled to Tenerife from December 19th to December 26th, 2024, and stayed in an Airbnb apartment in Puerto de Güímar . While searching on Google Maps for a seafood restaurant, this restaurant appeared in the search results. It was just a two-minute walk from our apartment, so we passed by it and noticed there was only one couple sitting outside. At first glance, it didn’t seem very inviting.
When we went inside, the waiter showed us the fish available in their refrigerator. There were a few options to choose from, but my intuition immediately told me that it wasn’t a good idea to order fish or anything else there. However, when we asked if they had mussels—the long, finger-shaped kind I like—they said yes.
So, my friend and I decided to stay and ordered a bottle of wine. We originally asked for half a liter of wine, but they brought us a full bottle instead. Oh well. Unfortunately, they didn’t speak any English. I ordered the mussels, which were eventually served. However, they weren’t very warm, and worse, they weren’t fresh. I understand that it’s December, and it was around 9 PM—an hour before closing time—but we weren’t informed that the mussels weren’t fresh.
Earlier that morning, I had seen fresh mussels in the supermarket, so this was very disappointing. I didn’t even finish them because the taste was so underwhelming. For that reason, I can’t recommend this place.
My friend ordered fish with potatoes. The potatoes, unfortunately, were cold. We asked for a replacement, and they brought back reheated potatoes that were clearly microwaved. My friend also ordered a tuna salad. Perhaps there is an olive oil shortage on Tenerife, but the salad was very dry—no dressing, no olive oil, no vinegar, nothing. Unfortunately, there wasn’t anything on the tables either. We didn’t feel like bringing it up with the waiter at that point.
So, we had a bite, drank a glass of wine, and left. But I must say that the bill of €46 felt completely unjustified and far too expensive for what we received.
For these reasons, I can only give this restaurant one star and do not recommend...

Read moreAs a recreational fisherman myself I have very high standards when it comes to fish & seafood. They have been more than met. Best quality seafood we had in a very long time. You can tell it's all as fresh as it gets, local wild catch, no farmed fish and prepared well. Also very reasonable prices, the service was friendly and quick. We had gambas as a starter and the seafood plate for 2 as our main. Highly...
