Restaurante Chef Padilla — Restaurant in Güímar

We came here for lunch, but we ended up regretting it. The staff didn’t want to take our order and instead went to serve all the locals, ignoring us. When they finally came to our table, they didn’t have anything that was listed on the menu.

We ordered bread, some type of mussels, and a chicken dish. The bread was rock hard and tasted old, the mussels were extremely salty and tough, and the chicken tasted like animal feed.

We didn’t realize they didn’t accept cards, so we had to go to the ATM. When we came back to pay, they were extremely rude and threw the change at us.

Su dueño y cocinero un mal educado, amenazante y bebedor en cocina de trabajo. Cocina pasable, lugar genial. Que pena este trato. También decir, que aumenta su valor exponencialmente cuando te tratan y cocinan hijo y trabajadores. Volví ha este lugar después de casi 20años y tras mala experiencia cuando era niño y ahora con mi pareja(🤞) esperando tener suerte porq era el único lugar en Puertito Güímar donde había sitio para dos.... Y sorprendido, lugar ok, comida ok, trato camareros (excelente, no la nombró por respeto, pero todo hostelero quisiéramos alguien así) sobre mesa excelente, pago cuenta y encargado en en ese momento,excelente. Incluso conversamos sobre mi mala impresión años atrás, y me comenta q su padre siempre ha estado al frente...

Tras visitar el lugar varias veces y siempre ok. Me tocó!!!!!!!!!!!!!¡!!! Noto q la comida no está como siempre, lo dejó pasar y disfruto del lugar y lo achacó a semana Santa. Cuando voy a pagar, ....! sale el servicio de cocina( cara nueva para mi) me pregunta, charlamos y algo no va bien... Ya noto q no gusta mis alàgos al servicio de camarero pago cuenta... A partir de ahí, solo veo que sus empleadas se espantan,( por q será).Parece q no le gusta de donde vengo tampoco ( no sé si decir racismo puesto mi humor negro es muy extenso y jamás sentí esto, aunq algunos lo intentaron). En fin, no merece regentar el lugar y mucho menos que tenga clientes que cometan el...

Good seafood at reasonable price. Particularly enjoyed the baked prawns in lovely sauce and generous avocado salad. Fish very nice and large portions but pricey as expected. Clean male & female loos. Sadly service quite slow, but busy time of day. Can’t fault the food. Would recommend going. Popular with locals....
