Maui Gastro y Port Garrucha — Restaurant in Garrucha

I wish I could give this place a -5. Without a doubt the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in my life. Working in the industry it’s beyond me how you can fail at so many points as this place has done in less than 1,5 hour.

To start with we were greeted by a waiter in dirty cloths and I didn’t think much more about this as we didn’t see him for the rest of our (short) stay.

As we arrived we had drinks and ordered 3 dishes from the starter menu and 7 dishes for main.

The starters took a very long time and once the food arrived we understood why.

The main courses arrived first and we nicely told the waitress that we obviously want the starters first.

They continued bringing the mains out to the table and we tried to keep our calm and nicely tell them we want the starters first followed by the mains.

It seemed like no one really cared about the problem and they told us that if we don’t take the mains now they will have to be eaten cold later.

We decided to (unhappily) continue the dinner as we were hoping to have a lovely evening together, but when they brought out a bowl of half cooked shrimps to one of the kids we couldn’t keep our act together any longer.

The shrimps came out in a bowl of cold lemon juice and water and was something I have never seen before.

I tried to speak to someone responsible but they seemed like they didn’t care.

We took the decision to leave the food drinks and leave without paying.

This establishment do not deserve another client ever again. It is SOOO easy to make a family happy at a restaurant if you even care a little bit about what you do in the restaurant business.

It is an embarrassment that you are allowed to do business like this and it will not be long u til you are closed.

Well where do I start, we was wondering around Garrucha as we had heard of the best Prawns come from here, we had never heard of this place we simply walked past it in our adventure to find a nice restaurant in Garrucha. We ordered Garrucha Prawns 30€ for what I can only describe as the best fish id ever had, im no critic but since I rarely eat prawns. These melted in your mouth, my wife hates prawns but she is basing it in Prawns in England, she ate 3 of them and loved them. The amount was morw than more than enough even for two people For our main we had mixed Pallea, once again incredible the flavours just amazing I wanted more but simply couldn't fit in in. However its states 11€, this is per person it doesnt state this, if two of you are have it its double what the price says. But no problem we expected it as we have eaten in places before but its has two prices show on menu (maybe an idea to show this) now the waiters incredible friendly I only caught one name Antonio? And a younger lad with a nose piercing, they where spot on, friendly welcoming and more importantly professional. Loved this place 100% recommend this place. We were disappointed by this establishment rated 4 stars! We might have been a bit early for food (around 12:30 pm), but the staff never really tried to be friendly. They were busy taking pictures of the plates that were to be exposed. We ordered tapas and realized later that the price (2euros) was including a beer for each of these, that we had to request later.
