We went to Restaurant Azul to celebrate our anniversary . Considering August is such a busy time for the town, it is incredibly difficult to find somewhere relaxed and that isn't too busy. The garden at the Tikar is an oasis of calm and tranquility even in busy August and a delightful place to have eaten our wonderful anniversary meal by the pool. The staff are amazing, really helpful and very knowledgable about the wines from the hotel's attached wine shop. Both our wine selections were delicious. The glassware, cutlery, crockery, table cloth and napkins were all immaculately clean and social distancing was perfect between tables. For starters we had the warm duck salad and scrambled eggs...both faultless, and for the mains we both had mouthwateringly juicy steaks accompanied by sautéed potatoes and a delicious oriental vegetable garnish. Desserts were molten chocolate cake (divine) and sautéed bananas..a revelation! All in all the attention to detail, cleanliness, friendliness of the owners and staff were second to none and we will certainly be looking forward to visiting again...there are so many tempting dishes on the menu, I think we will be visiting quite a few times! The pool is small and (at least while we were there) filthy and completely unusable.|Also be aware if you buy wine in the hotels wine shop and expect to have it with dinner you will be charged corkage of 6 euros.|I found this a little difficult to swallow because in my opinion I have paid to stay at the hotel. I have bought the wine at the hotel and never removed it from the premises, ergo I didn't expect the corkage.|If I had bought wine from an off licence/super market then fare enough but this is not the case.||SUMMARY |Nice room, good food in nice restaurant setting, filthy and completely...
