Comida Wenzhou (温州小吃) — Restaurant in Granada

My husband really loves Chinese food, and wherever we travel in the world, we always visit a Chinese restaurant. Out of over 40 countries we've visited and hundreds of Chinese restaurants on four continents, this one is, without hesitation, the worst.

The food was disgusting. The lemon chicken had chicken slices as thin as a sheet of paper, wrapped in an excessively thick batter. The other chicken dish we ordered was made entirely of cartilage. The rice was undercooked.

The service was terrible. There were no other customers in the restaurant, and yet we had to wait for someone to attend us. The owner and two other women were eating at a table near the bar. They were also feeding a baby. They were so absorbed in their meal and conversation that it was difficult to get their attention when we needed something.

I wouldn’t go back and I don’t recommend this...

I like Chinese food. So that's why I prefer to come to Chinese restaurants. This place is a kind of family home cooking. The food is really good, tasty and hot. The place is clean, organized 👌 It's a small and cozy restaurant. The price is reasonable and the owner friendly. They will prefer some good food for me to try different I visit. The restaurant light ✨️ is good and simple decorated. 👌 Because that's a family business, so sometimes you come on meal time and see they will have a family meeting or eating for lunch or dinner. So that's normal for the culture.

Note: From my perspective that if the restaurant changes, it will make customers happy. Please don't be too loud or yelling the kids when the customers are inside the restaurant. We don't feel...

Este finde teníamos ganas de probar algo diferente, así que unos dias antes nos dimos a la tarea de buscar algo en la ciudad aprovechando que en verano es más fácil ir sin reserva a los restaurantes, nos decidimos por este restaurante porque tiene comida tradicional china y fue toda una experiencia, muy positiva de verdad. Nada más entrar, se agradece que la decoración sea sencilla, fresca y limpia, nada de espacios apretados o recargados como los restaurantes chinos de toda la vida en España. La atención por parte del personal genial, amables y muy simpáticos, nos dieron el tiempo de elegir mientras respondían a preguntas sobre los platos. La comida fue toda estupenda, pedimos puré de taro a la plancha, son patatas chinas que aunque no fueron nuestras favoritas, si tienen un sabor muy muy diferente a lo que puedes probar aquí, vienen en una salsa y con muchas verduras picadas. También pedimos pollo crujiente, con una salsa espectacular, a pesar de ser un pollo frito, no estaba nada grasoso, tenía un sabor muy especial. Finalmente pedimos lo que podría ser su plato estrella, gongbao jiding, que es pollo con verduras y cacahuetes, picante y con un sabor muy intenso y especial, nada que haya probado se le parece así que no puedo comparar, pero definitivamente será algo que pidamos cada que volvamos a ir. La comida ha sido suficiente como para salir muy satisfechos, el último plato nos costó terminarlo y creemos que los precios de cada uno, a pesar de ser más caros que en los restaurantes chinos de la ciudad, se pagan con gusto pues no estás comiendo un chino de imitación, sino auténtica comida china, con ingredientes frescos y muy buena cantidad. Debemos decir, que nada más entrar y que de 4 mesas que había ocupadas en ese momento, dos sean de familias chinas comiendo allí, ya es una buena señal de que se comerá algo realmente tradicional chino.
