It’s nice to still get surprised- even though it was a bad one here. As always, let’s start with the positive: the location is central and next to the botanical garden. It’s very quiet in the morning on the weekend so it’s a cozy and nice atmosphere. Now the surprise I was talking about: we ordered croissant and eggs Benedict. The croissant was below average. It was toasted which I think only makes sense if it’s not fresh anymore. I mean, who would toast a fresh croissant?! Now the eggs Benedict. We had both versions - one with bacon and caramelized onions and the other one with avocado and seeds. When the food arrived we noticed that the egg white was still raw in some spots but the egg yolk was hard. So how can this happen we wondered. When asking the waiter to bring a new one without raw egg white, we were looked at like “what the hell do you want?”. Finally we received the new food and when looking at the egg in more detail we noticed the unusual shape for a poached egg. A quick online research revealed that the poached egg must have been cooked in the microwave - which was later confirmed by the waiter. How can you serve a microwaved egg and call it poached?! On the menu it says “poached egg with sauce hollandaise”. A microwaved egg is not poached and I have never seen a green/yellow sauce hollandaise (which was definitely processed) either. The bacon and “caramelized onions” were horrible - processed as well I assume. The bread - for yourself. Service wasn’t friendly either - quite cold and distanced and not amused when we complained. From my point of view it’s a ripoff. We won’t be back. If you don’t care as a restaurant/cafe - which is clearly the case here - be at least honest with your customers and don’t call it eggs Benedict but instead “microwaved egg with processed bacon and onions, accompanied by a processed dressing which we call sauce hollandaise on a dry and hard slice of toasted bread”. FYI: the pictures are of the second plate we got - you can clearly notice the unusual shape of the...

Really disappointing food for such a wonderfully decorated place. I feel awful leaving such a bad review but you really, really should not eat here. It was the most disgusting meal I have been to in Spain. The artichokes with foie had gone off. It was not simply that they did not taste nice - the dish was almost rancid. The burger was uncooked - not simply red meat but minced, uncooked meat. The accompanying fries were limp and tasteless. The grilled leek appeared to have been boiled so was a simply a tasteless whole leek without seasoning on a plate. The Arab bread was cold pita bread which was slightly stale and the burger bun ice cold bread which tasted as though it had been stored in the fridge for too long. We ate some food but gave up after 5 minutes as it truly was inedible. We complained and they took the artichokes and foie off the bill but insisted on charging for the rest. The response from the staff was poor. At first they tried to say we must not be used to the taste of artichokes and foie which was ridiculous - they were serving food which had gone off. It’s such a shame - the ambience and the cocktails are excellent. Even the presentation of the food was very good. Unfortunately, I would actively recommend anyone stayed away from the food - it...

Be aware: Food safety concerns

We came by this place because it looked really nice from the outside and it was quite busy. Everything was good until our flamenquin was served. This was our first time trying this traditional dish, so we didn’t really know what to expect. At first bite it tasted fine but the texture was not right because the meat was raw(see first picture). We questioned about the RAW PORK, and the waiter said it shouldn’t be that way and offered to change it, which we accepted. The second dish tasted good, but the raw pork really spoiled the whole experience. While we were waiting, we checked other reviews and read it also happened before. Seriously this is a food safety issue that should be addressed! I only hope my stomach will be fine tomorrow while I visit the Alhambra.

This is a nice place for a drink, but I’d advise that you don’t eat here.

Note: we also asked to take the flamenquin off our bill because we thought it wasn’t fair that we were given uncooked and potentially dangerous food in the first place but the waiter insisted that we paid as we accepted the...

I love this place - and its not simply for the cool, on trend, interior decor (although that does play a hefty role in my affinity towards it), I love the menu and the service in equal doses. The cocktail menu is easily my fav in Granada, thoughtfully curated and a welcome change to my usual (and beloved) “copa de vino tinto”. I have to give props to the notable presence of mezcal and even sal de gusano on the menu as well as choices totally unique to this bar. Drinks are crafted with expertise, garnished with dried citrus or pineapple as appropriate to the theme. As to the food - the scallops are a standout! Flambés table-side, they looked as beautiful as they tasted. I actually went back the next night and ordered them again - not joking. Another delight is the smoked burrata - no spoilers here on how that arrives to your table…order it and prepare to ooh and ahhh. Lovely experience with various seating options, both indoors and out, large groups or a single diner make this an easy 5 star fav on my map.
