Cafetería-Pastelería Rotacapa — Restaurant in Grazalema

Staff is not nice. When I asked a question in English the lady said something in Spanish and left me standing. Drinking chocolate and coffee was awful. There is no paper towel and soap (!) in the toilet. Crepes and waffles were OK, but as sweet and sugary as they can get. Pure disappointment.

Answer to owner: No, there was no soap, I am sure of that. I do not demand speaking English, but simple response that she doesn’t and maybe getting somebody else from the staff that does would be nicer than walking away without looking me in the eye. Oh and now I remember one more thing: when we sat at the table there were crumbs at the table and when the lady came to collect the order she just threw them off right...

Vinimos a merendar porque nos recomendaron el lugar en varias ocasiones y gente de la zona por lo que la experiencia era certera. Nada más llegar vimos que la gente salía por la puerta por lo que pintaba muy bien ya que otras cafeterías estaban más vacías. La sorpresa nos la llevamos cuando a más de 15 minutos de espera con la cafetería ya medio vacía nos vienen a atender pidiendo paciencia, cosa entendible puesto que se veía ajetreo. Pedimos las bebidas y al ir a pedir las tartas nos dicen que no saben lo que les va a quedar puesto que hay gente delante nuestra que ya había pedido pero no estaba servida. Hemos esperado pacientemente pero ha empezado a entrar gente que venía a comprar un trozo de tarta y gente que entraba de la terraza a pedir para llevárselo fuera y les han servido las tartas pese a estar nosotros esperando turno desde hacía ya más de 40 minutos y con el café casi terminado. Hemos conseguido que nos tome nota después de pedir al camarero por favor que nos atendiera que se estaban llevando todas las tartas y que nos dijera que supuestamente no había más tartas (cosa que después han sacado). Hemos pedido dos trozos de tarta y uno de bizcocho de almendra y después de otros 10 minutos más nos han traído mal la comanda. Veníamos ilusionados por las magníficas recomendaciones de nuestros amigos y nos vamos con mal sabor de boca, y no solo por el sabor de las ultimas tartas que...

I tried here I think the best chocolate cake I've ever eaten, it has some secret ingredients (sorry, cannot disclose it :) ) that makes it unique. The cake is very dark and humid. The cream has mascarpone and all together it's just perfect. I met Sergio, 'el pastelero', super friendly and he was so kind that he shared the recipe with me and I cannot wait to try it at home. Go, visit him, although I don't think he'll share the recipe...
