My husband loves this spot and sushi. I’m always difficult to please in sushi restaurants as I love some veggie and greens with my food. Menu here is complex and can be difficult to get the portions right for the table to take advice. They also do half portions of some of the sushi options which isn’t noted on the menu but very useful.

We opted for the tuna pizza to start which was delicious. We could have done without the truffle oil but that’s a personal thing. Then we had a mix of 1/2 portion of sashimi (5 different fish) and the perfect storm roll. Ample food for this course. All really delicious flavours.

For main course fyi no sides available apart from sticky white rice. I had the black cod and my husband had the beef cheeks. Both were truly fabulous flavours.

To finish we had the apple dessert again lovely take on apple pie. Loads of different presentations of apple enhancing various flavours.

Wine list is very expensive some good beer options for the non wine drinkers. Cocktail’s are expensive €24 for a manhattan.

Overall a lovely meal. Personally I don’t like the dining area or the lighting which is very harsh and stark. Staff are very knowledgeable, attentive and professional. Also chef works in the open and it’s always nice to see the kitchen in action. Recommend trying if you enjoy sushi and fine dining have your...

An amazing Michelin-starred Japanese fusion restaurant!

We had the Menú Kabuki and the wondrous dishes kept coming, each one better than the next. If you are visiting Tenerife you have to go to this place.

The chef Daniel Franco has crafted sushi into personalized works of art.

Our dishes included:

SAKIZUKE 先附 (first course in a formal Kaiseki dinner which consists of a sampling of small appetizers)

KUMQUAT – Kumquat, mango, pineapple and ginger NASU NO MISO – Eggplants with miso, shallots and sesame GYOZA KARÉ – Japanese curry dumpling MOLUSCOS – Molluscs sashimi

OTSUKURI お造り (Sashimi, fresh seafood thinly sliced and served in its raw form, eaten by dipping in soy sauce and wasabi.)

USUZUKURI PA AMB TOMAQUET - Thinly sliced fatty tuna with bread and tomato USUZUKURI BLANCO– Thinly sliced white fish with cumin and citrus TARTAR MAGURO ESTRELLADO - Spicy tuna tartar, fried free range egg, spring onion and black canary potatoes USUZUKURI CARABINERO - Thinly sliced red king prawn, head juice and sushi rice

KABUKI SUSHI 寿司 Kabuki nigiri sushi selection

KANMI 甘味 Kabuki dessert

The food portions are extremely small for the price. Some of the items were not available and there wasn’t a huge variety of menu options. The staff weren’t very attentive and several times we had to get up and pour water and chase for cutlery. The initially waiter was very pushy when I was ordering, I advised him some of the party didn’t eat raw to which he started to argue with me about how many raw tuna pizzas to order( pushing me to order more). After this we basically had no waiter. I asked when ordering if they had any sides and I was told no. When the mains came I was then asked if I wanted to order a side of rice. The food took ages to come and I wasn’t advised on portion size so we were all hungry by the end but couldn’t be bothered to wait to order any more. I think the whole experience was a complete mess and not worth the money. I have visited the one in Dubai three times which was amazing and much bigger portions. Disappointed to...

Had high hopes for this restaurant but the food was very underwhelming to be honest and frankly not deserving Michelin in my opinion. Despite the above mentioned the quality of the produce and the freshness of all the seafood were still on point. I especially enjoyed the prawn dish, the sushi, and the pork. However the dessert was something I didn’t enjoy at all, one of the components was very bitter even the sickly sweetly parts of the dessert couldn’t balance that and the other bits as I said was just overly sweet and had no other aromas. The service was good but the price was not justified by the overall flavours in my opinion

The service is outstanding. Kabuki is a Japanese fusion restaurant with both an a la carte and tasting menu. I had the tasting menu. Most dishes were highly creative, well timed and delicious. Some were a little too esoteric for me like the maguro with tonnato sauce. It was just plain odd as well as the truffle with quail egg - the truffle dominated and it was hard to negotiate the loose yolk. The bento box of appetizers was delightful. Antonio was a stand out on the staff. The restaurant is typically fully booked so book ahead and enjoy!
