Our 3rd visit to this restaurant on our first visit to quadamar de segura! An absolute gem of a find. Our first visit we shared carpaccio of octopus & pork cheek with clams. Very adventurous & worked very well in our favour. Very good flavours. Our next visit was for tapas . Tuna - delish. Rabbit & prune. Intense flavour. Goats cheese wrapped in ham. So sweet. All wonderful tastes. Tonight we had a bucket of mussels & frites, scampi, & a salad with prawns & smoked salmon. Faultless. All washed down with the lovely red house wine. A warm welcome for us in this lovely restaurant. An extensive menu with a truly fabulous "Specials" board. Gilbert made each dish sound so amazing and explained, suggested and recommended without being pushy. We decided on Beef rib ( costillar de ternera), which was cooked to perfection. Served with 4 sauces, Padron Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes, Hassleback Potato and side salad accompanied the Beef. Absolutely delicious. Had the rib eye—excellent. Perfect char, juicy inside, well-seasoned. The side salad was fresh and crisp. Staff were genuinely friendly and attentive without hovering. What stood out most was how quiet and relaxed the place was, despite being right in the city. Good Belgian beer selection and a menu that clearly leans on quality over quantity. Definitely not a tourist trap—just solid food, good people, and a peaceful atmosphere....
