Pizzería Verona — Restaurant in Guardamar del Segura

Bad food. Bad service. We ordered a lasagna and pizza. The lasagne was served thus: sprinkling of meat and a thick congealed white sauce, no pasta sheets, with unmelted Parmesan on top with a generic bland tomato sauce on side. It tasted like a sauce from a jar 🤦🏻‍♀️Wasn’t served hot, lukewarm at best because the sauce had congealed. Was it cooked fresh, I don’t think so and truthfully I have no idea what they served us 🤷🏻‍♀️ we also got a pizza, it could’ve been frozen, definitely not home made as the base was chalky and undercooked. The food felt like it was hanging around for hours or thrown together. Take my advice, you’d be better with a Servi pizza which is next door. One last thing, one of our servers was a nice young fella, the other, not so much. Stuff thrown at us, just bad, bad attitude like our custom didn’t count. We were there with our two small children. We arrived there around 19:00 so right after they opened and it was rather empty. We did not have to wait long for our food as I read in other comments but this might already be the explanation. We loved the food and the quality seemed to be great. The chicken sticks of the child menu was actually chicken and seemed to be fried by themselves. We had pasta but the amount of food was rather small. Turned out that it was a good thing because we decided to get some postres. The tiramisu was the best I had in a long time. The crepe was delicious as well. During our visit to Guadamar this place turned out to be one of best places to eat. The fact that we had to wait for a table, even early in the evening, was a clear signal of the popularity of the place. And indeed, the food was really great: the Canneloni and the pizza BBQ were really good, but also the starters were very nice (the fried cheese with tomato jam especially).
