Popped by for lunch. The bar entrance is gated off from the restaurant. Suspect it’s to prevent customers from walking to the restaurant. Odd. We asked to sit closer to the sea. We were told no. Asked why, as several tables were vacant and laid ready for service. Was told it was separate and not up for discussion. Oh well. We started with bread and sauces. We ordered battered prawns and battered fish. After 30 mins, no food. 2 other tables who’d arrived and ordered after us had their food. Service was unimpressive. No obvious sign of any attempt to manage despite several problems with their embrace of technology, impacting not just our service, but other customers too. Was put off by the rudeness and lack of...
Read moreI'm sorry to say this after reading some great reviews, but this was sadly one of the worst seafood dinners that I've had. The Fish of the day was a spiny fish with very little meat on it and was cut open in a way that the bones were hard to maneuver around accompanied by 2 mini, oversalted potatoes. The calimari was a large piece cooked whole that was rubbery and flavorless. The server continuously approached our table removing things in a way that made us feel rushed and stood at our table several times just looking at us uncomfortably while we were still trying to finish our wine. This all at the cost of 70 euros. For 100 euros the day before in El Golfo we had a beautiful 1500 gram fish, potatoes, clams, fried calimari, and wine which for only 30 euros more was outstanding. Sorry guys, but this needed to be said. For that kind of money and considering the location I expected something...
