Terrible. Do not eat here.
The first red flag was how cheap everything was in the menu, even for seafood. The second red flag was when we tried to order several dishes and they weren't available ( seems to me how they operate- big menu but only a few expensive options.)The only item that seemed to be available was "fish of the day," which is the only item that doesn't have a price. ( Surprise surprise )
So we ordered fish of the day, which would better be described as "fish from two years ago." The Canarian potatoes that come with the fish were awful because they had reheated them numerous times. The mojos ( typical Canarian sauce) had too much vinegar.
This ( old frozen ) fish was 15 euros. Most restaurants charge between 13-18 euros for "fish of the day" and you actually get fresh fish.
In the end, we paid as much or more as if we had gone to any of the other restaurants in the area. And had a bad food experience.
This restaurant clearly survives on tourists. Sadly, they don't care about what they serve.
Anyone who says they had a good experience obviously are fine with mediocre...
Read moreDo not eat here, very poor service, lazy staff and appalling food.
The waiter ignored us for ages I had to go to the bar to get served and the place was empty.
The food did not come as ordered and the fish was far from fresh and tasted of old oil, as a chef I know this is because they don’t clean the grille/plancha.
The bill was a rip off! He charged us 14e for a 5e meal and made the lame excuse that on the menu it was advertised as menu del Diaz, menu of the day and this was now the night time so the price was three times higher.
The decor is terrible and there is a water feature that may have had a running waterfall but now contains a shallow pool of stagnant water and some miserable terrapins. The fish tank has about four inches of water and yet again some sad fish trying to survive at the bottom.
An appalling experience, one to avoid if you value...
Read moreDon't waste your money here. Visited for lunch as el Pesquito was closed. Wish that I'd read the reviews beforehand as I was very disappointed. Positives - nice balcony area, though very crowded and a tight squeeze. Friendly staff, though food service was very slow. Mini, fried squid was okay and mojo sauces were nice. But, octopus in sauce was disappointing and the fish was terrible. Sea bream was butterflied and pan fried until it was deeply charred and completely dried out. Given that the rest of the menu is reasonably priced, I was shocked that the sea bream was €15 and, had I known that it cost that much, I would have sent it back. Clearly, having now read other reviews, I wasn't just unlucky in my menu choices as it seems overpriced, overcooked fish...
