Dear Manager/Owner of Suro Bistro,
I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding an unfortunate incident that occurred during my recent visit to your establishment. On 15th June, I dined at your restaurant and ordered a Mallorquina burger, which unfortunately turned out to be undercooked and raw. As a result of consuming some of this raw burger, I subsequently contracted salmonella, a severe bacterial infection.
To further support my claim, I have consulted with the Environmental Health Department, who conducted a thorough investigation into the incident. They have confirmed that the timing of my symptoms aligns with my visit to your restaurant, and after gathering information, it was determined that I had not consumed food from any other establishments during that period.
I must emphasize that my experience at your restaurant was not only disappointing but also highly distressing. Food safety is a fundamental aspect of any dining establishment, and it is your responsibility to ensure that the food you serve is safe for consumption. The fact that I was served a raw burger, which poses a significant health risk, is both unacceptable and inexcusable. This incident has not only caused me physical distress and discomfort but has also resulted in the loss of productive time at work due to my illness.
In light of the aforementioned circumstances, I kindly request the following actions to be taken:
A thorough investigation into the incident to identify the cause of the undercooked burger and to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. An assurance that immediate steps will be taken to improve food safety protocols and to ensure that all staff members are properly trained in food preparation and handling. A formal apology from the restaurant management for the lapse in food safety standards and the distress caused by this incident.
I sincerely hope that necessary steps will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future. I believe in the importance of providing constructive feedback to help improve your services and maintain the trust of your customers.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. I look forward to receiving your response.
Yours...
Read moreIf I could give this place no stars I would. I was served completely raw cod fish. I realised after a few bites as it was cold. I thought this was because of the sauce and ignored it until I asked my partner to try it. It was dark so I couldnt see it properly until I put my flashlight on and saw it was completely raw. I felt sick to my stomach and asked the waiter if it was suppose to be cold. The waiter knew it wasnt suppose to be cold and took it away. After five minutes she came back saying they can prepare another plate of it for me and I said I refuse to pay the bill. I felt sickly just at the thought of eating raw fish. The manager was brought out and he was completely and utterly awful. I have traveled and eaten at many different restaurants and have never experienced this type of service in my life. The managers name is Ramon and at first he seemed friendly but his true colours showed when he took control of the situation. He was arguing back and forth to me telling me that this is how they prepare the cod in Mallorca and refused my proposal not to pay for the bill or even just my meal. He offered to make my meal again for me or prepare something else and I declined explaining I feel sickly. He said how can you feel sick after one minute? It had been around 10 minutes til he came up to me. When he said that this is how they make the meal and that its different from the UK. I said “fine please prepare the meal for me again”. This was so i could compare both dishes to prove it was raw. He had the audacity to say in that minute that the kitchen is now closed and unable to prepare me any hot meal. ‘Finally’, even after offering to pay for my partners meal and our drinks he said he will charge me for my salad, starter, my partners meal and my side dish of potatoes in the cod fish meal. Basically he only knocked off four euros. Absolutely Ridiculous. Dont even bother going here. I read some bad reviews on tripadvisor but me and my partner decided to still try it however I regret it. Your better off going across the road.

Read moreThis restaurant was a really surprising discovery for us. We went there on a 'drive through' through Inca on our way home to Port Sòller. It was made possible that we got a table without reservation on Halloween - the restaurant seemed fully booked. The food was really delicious. We had the Oslo bowl and the codfish. The fish was on the point, the vegetables fresh and not too cooked, as it often is when food is kept warm too long. And that was even before the dessert! Even the smell alone made me happy :) Also: The tea (chai latte) was not only a teabag or even some instant tea, it was served in a can with the loose tea in a sieve so it was just perfect. The milk was separate. If only we could come again!! Definitely worth a...
