El Baron in the delightful village of Istan is one of my favourite places to eat in the whole of Marbella for many reasons. The owners, Dioni and his wife, are really attentive fabulous hosts. I have been eating at their restaurant for 15 years and it gets better every year. All their dishes are good, but I particularly like their pork solomillo ( with different sauces) or their chicken on a skewer or their stuffed pepper or their meatballs in a homemade tomato sauce. The service is outstanding as it is a family run business. Young 18 year old Dioni is now helping out at week ends. They usually have a fab lemon tart for dessert. Lo primero a destacar es el servicio ofrecido por el dueño del local y su hijo, muy simpáticos y profesionales.
En cuanto a la relación calidad precio el local cumple las expectativas que esperábamos, con unas croquetas caseras de pollo riquísimas, enhorabuena a la cocinera porque hoy en día es difícil encontrar unas croquetas bien hechas.
Probé el entrecot, estaba tierno y sabroso, las patatas también caseras buenísimas.
Mi pareja probó el calamar a la plancha y nada que envidiar a un chiringuito de costa.
La tarta de queso es digna de mención, ya que el toque de la Granada marca la diferencia y el sabor del propio queso de la tarta es ESPECTACULAR.
Las vistas desde el salón hacen que el sitio esté aún mejor.
Si vuelvo a Istán, volvería a comer...
