Review for La Cocina de Graciela – The Best Mexican Food in Barcelona
If you're craving authentic Mexican food in Barcelona, La Cocina de Graciela is the place to go. Every dish is handcrafted by Graciela herself, ensuring rich, traditional flavors that transport you straight to Mexico.
We had the carnitas tacos, which were perfectly crispy on the edges yet tender inside, packed with deep, slow-cooked flavor. The lengua tacos were outstanding—melt-in-your-mouth soft, incredibly flavorful, and proof that Graciela knows her craft. The nachos were fresh and generously topped, a great balance of crunch and toppings without being overloaded. But the real surprise was the enmoladas—the mole sauce was rich, complex, and deeply satisfying, one of the best we've had outside of Mexico.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, making you feel like you're dining in Graciela’s home rather than just another restaurant. Her passion for cooking shines through in every bite.
If you love real Mexican food, this is a must-visit spot in Barcelona. Highly...
Read moreWe spent almost two weeks in Spain, and this was by far our favorite place to eat from our entire trip! For the two days we stayed in L’Hospitalet, this was the only place we ate at.
La Cocina has nothing but authentic and truly delicious Mexican food on their menu, and we were sad we weren’t in the city longer to try everything they offered.
My wife still talks about their azteca soup because of how spicy and flavorful it was, and it reminded her of home because it was so filling. And if you go on a Tuesday or Thursday, I would HIGHLY recommend their taquiza (eight assorted tacos - chorizo, steak, chicken and veggie I think). They were all perfectly seasoned authentic Mexican tacos for an absolute steal. And if you still have room, their tres leches cake is to die for.
As Americans with no grasp of Spanish or Catalan, our server Javier was incredibly kind and accommodating. This was our most memorable restaurant in Spain, and we won’t be coming back to the country without paying a visit to our new favorite...
Read moreVery good and authentic Mexican cuisine. Even though we arrived without reservation, they still tried their best and found a way to accommodate us. Still, I'd suggest going for a booking if you want to make sure you have seating, since it can get quite busy and full very quickly. And we understand why: with such food quality, we felt briefly transported to Mexico for a moment. The service is awesome and the food.... (chef's kiss)👩🍳👌 the guacamole on the totopos was so damn good I was legit sad when it was finished, the nopales hit a note with my girlfriend, and the cochinita pibil I had was to die for. To end the meal, the café de olla was incredibly silky, tasty, and at just the right temperature. Even though the menu is a bit pricey, it's definitely worth it. Highly recommended, 10/10 would...
