Restaurante La Velada — Restaurant in La Línea de la Concepción

A little bit away from the city centre is this wonderful restaurant.

The place has actually two parts, one is for Tapas (and Drinks) and in the back, there is a restaurant. From what I know it offers the same food, the restaurant ist just a little nicer. Plus there are some fresh fish to choose from as well, looked pretty nice.

I went for tapas, prices were more than fair and a few cent cheaper than in other places more central. Quality was really good. The Oxtail and the cheese empanadas were one of my favourites, but just sheep cheese with red wine is basically enough to make me smile :)

On some orders they messed up the fries a bit, kinda took them out too early, but well, guess that happens, rest of the food was really awesome

Definitely one of my favorites places in town. I was told though for the restaurant its best to make a reservation and for the tapas place show up early, since this place is normally...

La comida era buena pero tuvimos una experiencia horrible con el gerente cuando le pedimos la cuenta y yo tenía una pregunta sobre por qué en la factura nos pedían que pagáramos los "cobiertos", con una simple pregunta el gerente dijo que lo haría. quitarlo de la cuenta pero también dijo que éramos "miserables" de una manera muy grosera. Después de pagar la cuenta salimos del restaurante y dije gracias, cuando cruzamos la calle el gerente fue a la puerta principal del restaurante y gritó muy fuerte "miserables", extremadamente grosero y descortés. Nunca recomendaré este lugar a nadie. El gerente no fue nada respetuoso. Ten cuidado, intentarán hacerte pagar por algo que va contra la ley.

The food was good but we had a horrible experience with the manager when we asked for the bill and I had a question about why in the bill they were asking us to pay the "cobiertos", with a simple question the manager said the he will remove it from the bill but also said that we were "miserables" in a very rude way. After pay the bill we left the restaurant and I said thanks, when we crossed the street the manager went to the front door of restaurant and shout very loud "miserables", extremely rude and unpolite. I will never rcomend this place for anyone. The manager wasn't respectful at all. Be careful, they will try to make you to pay for something that is...

Restaurante con complejo de superioridad que más que en los aledaños del centro urbano de La Línea se cree sito en el Barrio de Salamanca; precios desorbitados propios de tarifas de la luz, que sólo alimentan de la idea de que cuanto más caro, mejor, aunque (no obstante) si el cliente está dispuesto a pagar esas cantidades creyendo así que come en un lugar de alto postín, poco más puede objetarse (y las tapas no son malas); el dueño es arrogante, y el trato con sus empleados no muy amigable; los camareros demasiados poco simpáticos: si son gaditanos (tirando de clichés), serán gaditanos del norte: la "gracia" no es precisamente una de sus virtudes; si intentan ser serviciales, llegan a ser molestos y poco educados: no pueden acercarse a la mesa infinidad (y digo infinidad) de veces para quitar los platos vacíos interrupiendo la conversación de los comensales y dando la clara sensación de que quieres echarlos; esta hostelería es parte de la que mucho se queja y poco se...
