If things can go wrong, they certainly went that way for our table. And it’s not by accident, but that’s how this restaurant is being run. After being served the grilled cheese and wine, we were waiting for the meet. Getting impatient, we asked the waiter and then it arrived. No, they didn’t forget our order, they just forgot it on the grill. It was hard like the shoe and you can imagine how enjoyable eating the shoe can be. The meat came alone and there were no fries, because the cook looked at the frier and just put the basket back without even trying to make any. We also ordered the tomato avocado salad, but then the waitress served it to the surprised clients at the next table. They never apologised and never tried to fix it. If you want to eat at the worst restaurant on this planet, you know...

Came here for lunch after mountain Teide. Waiters didn't understand English but they gave their best to us, plenty of technology that can get this resolved. A salesman told us to look for "Guachinche" as it is a very local place, and indeed we were the only table that didn't seem to be local. Food is cheap there, for a KG of steak/t bone it only cost €39. The only disappointment from the place was the fact that the steak didn't taste very beefy (if that makes any sense to you). It was a huge piece of beef, nicely grilled and allowed you to further heat/cook it on the iron plate, but then like I said it just didn't come with a strong beef flavour.

However given the price, the service and the atmosphere, this is quite a hidden gem I've...

We had dinner at El Talegazo and enjoyed it a lot. The people were super friendly and open for my vegetarian wishes. Highly recommended if you want to experience a typical canarian Guachinche dinner. The food was very delicious! We had Papas arrugadas and fries for starters, grilled meat for my husband and grilled eggplant for me. We would have tried dessert but we were full and satisfied after starters and main dish.

Rosy is an amazing host and her cuisine just goes beyond tasteful! She welcomed us very friendly and we enjoyed (to the fullest) our typical lunch. You better try her homemade “vino afrutado” and pitaya, she grows the plant herself and it’s absolutely delicious. Oh, and don’t forget the meat. Actually, it’s better if you get the entire menu. Ci mancherai Rosy, hasta pronto from your Italian couple!
