When we crossed the motorway into La Roda we could see two hotels, The closest one was The Hotel Flor de la Mancha, so we headed there.||First thing we did was to have a snack and cold drink in the attached restaurant, and to be honest we were far from impressed, very poor service with the waiter shouting at us because of his mistakes and although the food we had was fine, I was brought the wrong drink – Twice and everything was very expensive !!||So, without much hope, I checked out the prices in this somewhat upmarket hotel and was very pleasantly surprised to be offered a large, twin bedded, en-suite room with air-con for a very reasonable 49 Euro (Birgit was offered a price of 29 Euro for sole occupancy in a double room) ||We decided to avail ourselves of this kind offer and didn’t regret our decision, especially as the room had a full sized bath, which I took full advantage of ;-)||The only thing i would say is steer well clear of the attached restaurant as it is overpriced and the service is very poor (We met the French Peregrino’s who were staying at the nearby Peregrino accommodation at The “Plaza del Toro” and they had the misfortune to take their evening meal in this restaurant and were very unhappy with...

The walls are covered in bullfighting pictures, photos, Bulls heads and of course Don Quixote ! ||After a good nights rest, we had a wander around La Roda, and there are a lot of bars, shops and delis. We will come back for a stay sometime in the...
