Incredible experience here.
Came to buy 3 bottles of wine from their shop in the evening, stood waiting like an idiot for 15 minutes while the staff pushed past us and ignored us. (We came here two days before to have a glass of wine and they were fine, we gave a tip, etc) Asked if the shop was closed and they said somebody would come in 10 minutes. Waited another 10 minutes and eventually one of the staff who had ignored us (the same guy we had a nice conversation with 2 days before) came and without saying anything literally threw a card reader at us for payment.
The only reason I didn’t leave the bottles and go elsewhere is that I was bringing them as a gift to friends and didn’t want to be empty-handed.
So thanks guys, I spent 40 EUR in your place to be made to feel horrible and stupid. Maybe it’s because our Spanish isn’t that good.. maybe we broke some unspoken rule that we were not aware of, or the shop was closed but nobody wanted to tell us.. who knows. Anyway it’s the last money I’ll...
Read moreVery unfriendly to tourists. We felt unwelcome. 2 years ago we received great advice on Spanish wines and they even packed up our bottles for the suitcases in the shop. It was a great experience back then, so we decided to come back. This time, we tried a few wines, had a cheese platter, it was nice at first. After paying and leaving a generous tip, we wanted to buy some of the wines we had tried. The new man that showed up was very rude and it was like he did not want us to buy any wines (He said they were out of the wines we wanted to buy - which was a lie, my husband found the wine on a shelf - and when asking if he could recommend something similar, his answer was - No). He seemed annoyed that he had to speak English (in that case he could have asked his colleague to help us) and was very baffled that we asked if he could please call us a taxi, as we were carrying heavy bags. He said they typically do not do that. 2 years ago it was not a problem. Sad to see this place get ruined by...
