I came here for a cup of coffee and a little rest as my leg was hurting a lot from walking the Lighthouse route. On entry I was greeted politely by a staff member and though I just wanted a drink I saw a burger the chef was making that looked really good (Chef's Special) so I ordered that and sat at a table with a great view of the sea in front of me. I noticed that the place was clean and tidy with interesting maritime decor around and wonderful enlarged, framed photos of the natural local and nearby scenery. My coffee arrived first whilst I was still appraising the look and ambience of the bar and restaurant and the lovely view I had. I must say that it was a very nice tasting coffee that was not the usual brand served in many cafés throughout the rest of Spain. I really enjoyed drinking it. When my burger came I was impressed at the size of it and how packed it was with so many other ingredients. I understand now its name... I have never had a burger this delicious or filling anywhere I've eaten one in Europe (many different countries) and it is my recommended meal for anyone passing through here to order. Gracias Chef! Overall, in the short time I was here even though I did not stay the night in a room, my feeling for the family run hostel is warm, positive and definitely on top of my list to return to when I continue my coastal Lighthouse route next year. We were very disappointed by a huge gap between the reviews on this venue and the experience we got ourselves.

Neither the staff was welcoming and attentive (actually it looked like they preferred us and other clients not to enter) and the quality of food.

We arrived at 15:23, they asked us if we wanted any drinks 15 mins later and we had wait 15 more mins to order food (that took a lot to get, too, although those were super simple tapas (longest one to cook were fried squids that is around 5 mins).

Tortilla was very poor: burnt on outside and very dry and not juicy inside, somewhat oversalty.

So, we are wondering how did this place get all those...

The only restaurant we found in Laxe that actually served food all day, which is useful to know when on holidays with a child, wanna have a bite after 15.00 p.m. and all other restaurants are sending you away because they are closing for siesta - even though it's August !
