Cal Rita Porta — Restaurant in Llívia

It is always a pleasure to be at Cal Rita Porta. The owner has always a big smile and cares for all his guests all the time. The place is an big old barn totally refurbished in a cosy and warm style which can allocate both romantic dinners and big gangs. There is a fix menu for around 19€ (1st, 2nd and dessert) where you can choose among 6-7 different dishes per course and you pay some extra for some specialities. Everything is traditional local food very well executed.

A very quiet Monday evening in Llivia and this was one of the few restaurants open.

A good find, service was excellent and while very quiet the atmosphere was perfect for an evening meal.

The menu was a fixed price affair with at least 6 options for each course. From our choices it all appears freshly prepared made in house.

An even bigger surprise was the modest price included the bottle of wine, water and bread that you enhance with garlic and fresh tomatoes. Finish off with the included home made cream liquor. All for under 50Euros for two.

Very good restaurant in a little bit of nowhere. We come here whenever we are in this neighbourhood for holidays. Winter or Summer. The food is consistent and good. The steak is great, the goat's cheese is found in several first courses, but the best is the one with escalivada served warm from the oven. The service is efficient. The bill is reasonable.
