The absolute worst dining experience I've ever had, and the only time that I've ever had to argue with staff. The fact that the service was poor and the place seemed to be staffed entirely by disinterested teenagers with no management was strange to begin with. The burger seemed fine until I found that it was raw inside; very raw. It wasn't just pink, it was red, raw meat. I've never returned food before, but it clearly wasn't safe to eat. The server took it without an apology and asked me to wait. I assumed she was getting me a new meal but returned with my same half eaten burger that had been deconstructed, cooked a bit more and reassembled. I couldn't believe she was giving me back the same meal but I was so hungry after a day of travelling that I took it. They had obviously just seared the eaten bit because 2 bites in I found that it was still raw. I ate the chips because they were the only edible part, and when we went to pay I showed them that it was still raw and very reasonably said that we would pay for the rest of the meal but not the twice undercooked burger as it could make me sick. I would expect that in that situation they would offer to comp the meal anyway, but they argued with us for what seemed like ages, and actually threatened to call the police if we didn't pay the full amount, which we ended up having to do as we felt we had no choice. Undercooked minced meat can be dangerous, but mistakes happen and I wouldn't feel so mistreated and insulted if they had just fixed the problem, but the staff were so incredibly unreasonable and rude about it that it ruined our entire first evening in Celorio.

Update: I did get food poisoning. 48 hours later I spent the entire night throwing up. Definitely...

Worst dining experience ever - please don't go here! My partner got food poisoning from a burger he was served here, which was raw at its centre. I know what it's like to work as a server, so I hate complaining - but raw minced meat is dangerous. We told the staff, who seared the burger on the outside, put it back in the same half-eaten bun, and gave it back to my partner. It was still raw. He ate the rest of the meal, being hungry after a long day of travelling. We told the staff we were happy to pay for my meal, but that we wouldn't pay for the raw burger as it was undercooked (twice) and unsafe. They treated us with utter contempt, arguing that we should pay for the meal as he had eaten half of it. From our first interaction, the staff were apathetic and cold, but our very reasonable complaint was met with an immature, hateful and nasty response. They threatened to call the police if we didn't pay for the raw burger. It was at that point that we decided to pay for everything and leave, as we were getting nowhere. In summary: the food gave my partner food poisoning; the staff were at best apathetic, and at worst rude and aggressive; the food was sub-standard generally, and the atmosphere...

Without doubt the worst food we have ever received! We ordered sardines for €7.50, and Mejillones for €8.00. When they arrived they were both tinned and not fresh, exactly the same as you could buy in any supermarket for less than a euro. They hadn't even bothered to hide the fact they were tinned. In a country with such a high standard of food and who pride themselves on fresh ingredients, how they can expect to serve tinned food without people feeling cheated is beyond me. Definitely do not eat here, there are much better options nearby. We did at least receive a refund without too...
