Restaurant LEMAN — Restaurant in Lloret de Mar

I have just been this evening and I must say I was entirely disappointed by both the food and the service. I was dining alone and ordered the bread with garlic and tomato, canneloni and half a litre of rose. I have to say the bread with garlic and tomato was fabulous so fresh if not a bit DIY had to peel garlic cloves and dice up tomato for yourself but v tasty all i all. The wine was ok nothing to write home about but acceptable. The difficulty arose with the main course of canneloni. It was entirely tasteless, it had absolutely zero seasoning and zero garlic with an entirely bland glupey white sauce. I asked a server for black pepper and parmesan and 10 mins later I was no further on. I asked another server for black pepper and parmesan and was provided with black pepper and a cheese of sorts most definitely not parmesan in a timely fashion. I advised the server that the canneloni was disappointing and there was zero response. I ate half of the Canneloni and my plate was cleared and I again expressed my disappointment. I was waiting to be provded with desert menu and an espresso but at no stage in the intervening 20 minutes did a server provide me with a menu or enquire if I was ok. It was only after approx 25 mins after the plate being cleared when I asked a server for the bill that anybody dealt with me. I asked for the bill and to speak to the manager. The bill arrived and a few minutes later the server arrived to collect the bill and I requested once more to speak with the manager. I expressed my disappointment in the food and service to the manager and the response was unacceptable in that he said oh well we have 300 people here and we take 20 mins to cook canneloni. I advised my difficulty was not at the time in food preparation and service but rather the flavour and he asked how could I say there was no garlic or seasoning when I could not see inside a canneloni....I further advised re disappointing service 3 servers and having been left 20 mins after clearing of plates and still no desert menu. The manager took no responsibility and stated there had been 300 ppl there that evening. Bear in mnd it was not even half full when I was there, in any event that is no excuse as it restaurant ought to be in a position to perform the same at 100 or 300 regardless if 300 is there capacity. In any event I could forgive bad food if the concern was addressed and received appropriately but in this case it was not met in an appropriate manner at all. 20.09.23. I eat dinner with my little 3y old daughter and my wife. I tell on that lady we want eat paella mussels from paella menu, home rose wine and a baby pasta with cheese. The wine was badly, the paella mussels was not really paella was without rice :(. Pasta for baby was okay. After I finished the mussels comes a guy with a paella. Hésite entre mauvaise et bonne note. Touristes français nous sommes arrivés avec notre chien pour manger une paella. La jeune serveuse est arrivée de suite avec un petit bol d'eau pour notre chien dans lequel elle avait mis 2 glaçons, belle attention. Puis pour l'apéro j'aime boire sans alcool et sans bulles, de l'eau avec du sirop, mais pas de sirop! Rien sans bulles! J'ai commandé juste de l'eau plate, dommage. Pour le repas on souhaitait manger une bonne paella, aux fruits de mer pour mon mari et notre fils et végétarienne pour moi. Là le serveur nous annonce que les paella ne sont servies que pour 2 personnes. Bon, mon mari partagera ma végé et loulou prendra autre chose. Mais 2 minutes après le serveur reviens nous annoncer que ce n'est pas possible sans viande ni fruits de mer (j'ai cru comprendre qu'elle étaient déjà préparées... Gros regret car j'en ai déjà mangé dans d'autres restau qui n'ont pas vu de problème a me servir une végétarienne, que pour une personne.). J'ai donc pris des lasagnes aux légumes a la place et là bonne surprise car elles étaient excellentes ! Vraiment bonnes, bonne béchamel et bien servie. Mon mari a pris du riz au curry qui était bon aussi, bien relevé. Notre loulou un steak avec des frites. Trop peu de frites, nous avons dû en reprendre une assiette supplémentaire. On a demandé du pain, ils ont apporté 3 petits pains de mauvaise qualité et pas frais (payé en plus, 0.75 par pain). Pour le dessert on nous propose une carte avec de belles photos de coupes glacées, nous avons choisi une coupe de fraises fraîches pour loulou (belles et bonnes), un gâteau glacé chocolat caramel pour moi (très bon, bien servi pour le prix) et mon mari a choisi la coupe citron glacé qui n'était finalement pas du tout comme la photo...bof...pas top.
