Buena vista restaurante bar & grill — Restaurant in Los Alcázares

Absolutely lovely evening last night at Buena Vista. It was my parent's 61st Wedding Anniversary and we had a lovely meal. Dad had the Dorada (called Gold Fillet) and my Mum and I had RibeEye Steak, cooked rare to perfection as we had requested. We were sitting overlooking the Mar Menor, with the lights of La Manga twinkling in the background. The staff are excellent here; I can't fault the experience except for 1 thing hence the 4 stars for the food: The steaks were served without chips! Once we received our meal and realised the steak comes without chips, Mum and I ordered a portion which came quickly. But why on earth would a restaurant serve steak without a few chips!? In fact the portion (which cost extra, of course), was a generous size, more than Mum and I could eat between us (Dad didn't need any as he has mashed potato with his fish along with a lovely selection of vegetables), but we only wanted a handful of chips each to go with our steak. I think it's a mistake to not serve a few chips with a steak... Anyway, observation (moan) over. The evening was lovely and the staff deserved praise. We've been before and we'll be back...

Worst customer service I have ever come across.

I don't usually leave reviews (good or bad) but I feel I need to warn people about this place.

The waiter named Raj was quite frankly, rude.

We were a group of 7 children and 5 adults split across 2 tables. They lost the order for the children's table (likely because we paid upfront as it was late at night and we wanted to leave quickly) and nearly 2 hours later the food arrived but no apology.

Apparently it was our fault for ordering 2 portions of nachos and not specifying that everything should arrive at the same time (Raj didn't ask this so we didn't know we needed to specify). Again, no apology or any regard for the starving children. Instead, raised voices telling us it was our fault.

Meanwhile on the other table, ice only arrived after asking 4 times, drinks ordered were forgotten, rice didn't turn up for the curry, etc., etc.....

Frankly, an utter shambles with no understanding of what good customer service looks like. Apparently they are doing me a favour?! And the food was average at best.

This restaurant serves Indian, Mexican and Italian food which is quite a strange combination but seems to be typical of the restaurants around here. I ordered an "Indian" pizza, a pizza topped with chicken tikka, as I'd never seen it before. It was very unique, but probably not the nicest pizza I'd ever had, mostly down to the mozzarella cheese being a little strong for my liking. The rest was nice. Two others in my group had margherita and pepperoni pizzas which they found good. Two others shared a variety of Indian curry dishes. They really, really enjoyed it all and it did look very nice. Three of us finished with an ice cream. There was a great selection of flavours and it was very nice. They also served ice cream sundays which one of us got.
