Pizzeria Sorelle D´Italia — Restaurant in Los Alcázares

unfortunately for Pizzeria Sorelle D´Italia it isn’t a good review i will be giving. When we first arrived we were seated greeted and ordered drinks we also ordered two garlic cheese breads for starters which must have taken at least 35-40 minutes we thought they made a mistake and were doing it with our mains ( they weren’t ). Then after our starter plates were taken away we waited an additional 40 minutes for them to bring out one out of five main meals a lasagne and two portions of chips we all were going to share. In the meantime the staff were not attentive during my experience and didn’t ask if we wanted any more drinks or needed anything or apologise for delays. We then waited a good 20 minutes to give them the benefit of the doubt and be fair and no sign of the other mains. We went to check on the mains and we had to wait another 20 minutes and then they came out. The lasagne was dry and in my experience the pizza was doughy and the crust was raw and the middle tasted soggy and oily when we got our pizzas there wasn’t really any apology and we weren’t asked if we wanted anything else drinks sauces etc. Left feeling really fed up after this experience and definitely won’t return I always try to give a fair review and give a fair detailed explanation of each experience definitely much better pizza places nearby. Felt unjustified paying for all of the food so wanted to talk to the manager or owner who also worked in the kitchen and asked can we discuss this discretely not in front of other customers to put anyone off and explained we weren’t trying to get a free meal however we were spoken to rudely and spoken to very disrespectfully. The food was fantastic. Very nice pizza, worth the prices. We ordered loaded fries and a couple of croquettes to come with the meal, but they came about 15 mins before the pizzas. It happens!

The service was not unpleasant, but was rather non existent. After taking our order, we were never again offered more drinks, nobody offered condiments, nobody came back to check if our meals were good. This was inexcusable because we were early for dinner at 7pm - we were a table of four, there was another table of four right next to us, and all other tables including the large outside dining area were empty. There were more staff than customers.

We sat for ten minutes with empty plates as the staff took it in turns to look over, but nobody came over. Eventually, our plates were cleared. We sat another ten minutes, nobody offered desserts or coffee or extra drinks so we had to ask for the bill.

Nobody came back to take payment, so we approached the till to find a member of staff fast asleep at the counter. We woke her up and said excuse me, can we pay the bill? She glared at us like she was going to kill us 😂 she didn’t speak, got up to get someone else to pay off the bill and she went to stand behind the bar where she glared at us and our two teens making us feel very uncomfortable indeed.

Such a shame, because we went last year for my son’s birthday and this was his choice again for his birthday. As I said, the food was delicious so the service really is letting this restaurant down.

Quite frankly, the manager at this restaurant is aggressive, rude, condescending and chased us out of the restaurant.

Long story short, the service was already at a snail’s pace from the beginning. We sat down at 9PM and weren’t asked for our drinks order (until we had to get a waiter) until 9:25PM. Fortunately they let us order our food simultaneously.

We ordered our fries to come with the mains, but they ended up coming 15 minutes before our food (no biggie). By 10:10PM, four out of five family members received pleasant meals at the same time (with no explanation of where the fifth meal was). We waited 10 minutes before asking where this fifth meal was. 10 minutes later we still had no meal and no answer so asked again. It turns out they forgot to check when we first asked, but on returning again the meal was apparently burnt and they put another one in. Now 40 minutes AFTER WE’D ALL FINISHED EATING. The final family member received her food (which was clearly rushed and not properly cooked!)

When we politely asked they take this off the bill (as we would now have to take it away with us too) the manager came out and declined our request, making up lies about the law, aggressively confronting us and then made us hand the food back and reluctantly took it off our bill. Our now extremely hungry family member was very upset, when we explained it would just be thrown away and asked a waiter if we could go and get it, (to which they replied yes), we were then chased down the road by the angry manager for her to threaten to call the police unless we give it back, and that we were beyond the point of paying...
