The best coffee I've had in my entire 53 years.
El Arenal has quickly become our favourite spot to sit, take in the views, absorb the atmosphere and enjoy friendly chat. We are made to feel so welcome not just by the owners but also the regular customers, of which there are many.
The coffee here is outstanding, I don't know how they make it so good but it really is exceptional. My hubster has a chocolate muffin every morning, I have a small breakfast, and they never fail to illicit a 'yum'.
The prices here are also super competitive which is how we can afford to come here daily; much cheaper than other local bars/cafes.
I can't finish this review without mentioning how brilliant the owners and their team are. I can't believe a review on here criticises their origins as Eastern European - shame on you. The team here are a joy, they are the nicest people you'll be blessed to meet. They are inclusive, generous and kind. Regardless of how beautiful the location, the coffee and the customers are, it is for Inga et al. we keep coming back.
Oh, don't leave before you try their tapas. I'm addicted to their garlic prawns and seafood salad... Did I mention their cocktails.... Happy yum. Lol

5 meme era of staff and struggling to get served. Even attracted their attention but still ignored so I approached the bar to be spoken over and told another staff member would come take our order. Phew, hard work but got there in the end. The food arrived quickly which could be seen as a positive but the patatas bravas were not properly cooked so we left much of it. Even the beach sparrows didn’t want them! A portion of garlic mushrooms which I suspect were tipped from a tin and heated. Not great. Magra con tomate was ok.
The derive was shocking despite repeated attempts. Maybe I made it obvious and that’s why the staff appeared stroppy and miserable but they simply did not ouse customer service, friendly, approachable. Anything but.
Would I come back? No chance.
There are plenty of other opportunities so take your chances.
Nice location though, but so are...
Read moreJust left here. It used to owned by a Moldovan couple who provided excellent service, delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere. We arrived and sat down. It was not that busy. And waited. And waited. Finally my husband went to the bar to order a drink and was told to go and sit down and wait! So beers arrived, 3 girls were stood at the bar and we waved at them as we wanted to order food. So up goes the husband again, to be told to go and sit down and wait for the only male member of staff to come and get our order. Literally, the females just stood around waiting to bring out cutlery or food. I wish we had just left. I ordered garlic mushrooms and potato bravas. What arrived was clearly tiny tinned mushrooms in a garlic liquid, potatoes so hard even the sparrows didn’t want them. Awful, and all served...
