Restaurante Rincón de Miguel — Restaurant in Los Montesinos

I have found this restaurant on Google, the reviews were very good and we gave a try, it turned out to be a little gem, a family restaurant with friendly service and excellent food. They open only at lunch time from 12 to 15.30 every day of the week. As I mentioned the food was very good with a particular note to the "somillo de cerdo" that cuold be served in a starred restaurant so much was excellent. We were in 4 and we got a big salad with fresh baked bread (still warm), aioli, starter, main course and dessert, plus we got on our table 3 bottle of wine, white, red and rosé (free to drink as desired) 2 pints of beer, 1 bottle of water, 1 bayles, 2 coffee cortados with bayles and 1 tea and we paid 12 euro p.p.! We went for a birthday celebration and I have rated this 5/5. Typical Spanish service, relaxed but efficient, food was excellent for the price. We arrived as they opened at 1300 and left when they had more or less finished the lunch time service. There was a good buzz throughout with plenty of locals eating.

The menu is limited with three different starters and three mains changed weekly. To my British palette a bit on the salty side (but that is Spanish food generally). Portion sizes are generous.

As another reviewer notes the outside does not look very much like a restaurant and inside it is functional more than pretty. However for a tenner you will be hard pushed to beat the value for money that eating...

This place is the absolute peak, if you want to dine out, Spanish style.

Menu del día 12€, but forget the price, it's not important, but concentrate instead on the top quality of the fresh food (and there's plenty of it too!), the ambience of the place and the great, very friendly service. Do yourself a favour, don't rush your meal, dine as the Spaniards do, sit back, relax, eat, drink, talk and just enjoy the whole experience.
