La Piratería - Marisqueria y Paellas Frente al Mar. — Restaurant in Málaga

I've eaten at the Piratería lots of times and it's one of my favourite places to go with a view of the sea just in front of me.

It has amazing empanadas de Gambas, my favourite! I've tried other dishes like Calamares, which l love but the prawn empanadas win hands down for me with a glass of vino Cordoba de Flor ( white wine).

Good service, and very friendly staff with Antonio Jose and other team members. It's such a lovely, relaxed and peaceful environment whether eating alone or with friends. I always feel welcome and at home there...

I would definitely recommend La Piratería, whether for a glass of something nice whilst watching the sea and people watching or catching a quick bite or spending a few hours here...

location is lovely, great view. that's being said. service was mediocre, people weren't super friendly but we didn't have a negative experience, it was okay.

the food took pretty long to come out. the fish of the day was lovely. the chicken breast was very thin, flavourless and super dry. it's what i imagine beef jerky would feel like. the smashed potatoes were also flavourless and had a weird taste to them. i know dishes can have a sour taste to them but this, to me, didn't taste sour the nice way. the patatas bravas were pretty good. for dessert we had the nutella cake, just call it a chocolate mousse cake or something because it was misleading, wasn't a bad dessert just...

Everything was PERFECT. The food was soooo good and the prices are very reasonable!! The staff were very nice and friendly. Our waiter Josè antonio was very friendly and so was Natalia. They served us a side plate of olives and they were the best olives I have ever eaten. Totally authentic. The store has a very nice view to the ocean. And one important thing that I loved about it is how CLEAN it was. Especially the bathrooms. If you are here in Malaga I can only recommend you this place.
