We are locals and usually go to Los cunaos which is next door. (I'm writing this in English to warn tourists). But it is always super busy and we arrived late. So there were loads waiting for tables already. So we thought we'd try las acacias next door. We waited outside for almost 20 mins. Got a table inside right near the waiters area and kitchen. Bread was served immediately (thank god!) and we waited to order drinks. 15 mins later we ordered some drinks but no chance to order the food which we already knew as he had already rushed off. Yes this place is busy. Too busy it seems. Another 35 mins later we ordered the food. 2 dishes. Boquerones and paella mixta for 2! Not too complicated. 20 mins later the boquerones arrived. We ordered more drinks and these arrived more or less within 10 mins. Over 1 hour later the paella arrived. And it was overcooked!! And they were rushed and still managed to overcook it. The flavour was not bad but just a mush of very little rice. The marisco in it was acceptable. But all a sludge basically. About 1 hr into this charade we had asked where the paella was (as 20-25 mins is normal) and the larger waiter said that he had to wait at the bank as well. Ha ha. I never wait 2 hrs at the bank. At least we were a bit drunk as the beers on no food went straight to our heads. Never again. Los cunaos is equally or more busy and still manage to provide a great service. You have been warned. 2 hrs until the paella eventually arrived at las acacias. And pasada. And grumpy staff. Not surprising really. We should have waited at low cunaos and we would've been served quicker, even with...

On our walk from San Paolo back to Malaga along the beautiful ocean promenade we decided to stop here for a bite. We had stopped at another place and after being ignored for a few minutes we decided to move on. Here there was a kind of manager who directed the waiter to our table pronto which was great. Made us feel welcome. The waiter on the other hand made us feel like he had much more important things to do and when my wife asked him what the Sangria was like he was rude and shook his head in a manner that she was asking a stupid question. In fact it was a good question because when the drink arrived we sent it back because it was not made in the traditional way. Very much too sweet ! Her white wine was much better. The open fire cooked sardines as well as my chicken breast with french fries were well priced and tasty. The gentleman who was cooking over the open fire as well as the manager were very friendly and attentive. The 2 waiters were...

BEWARE if you do not speak Spanish!

We visited this restaurant on Thursday 17th July around 9.30pm.

We were greeted by one of the waiters there who didn’t speak any English and was of a larger build.

He continued to greet us and speak Spanish to us at which we smiled and looked blankly to him.

As the night went on we ordered our dishes along with the €20 octopus dish clearly pointing to it on the menu. However the octopus never came instead we were landed with a €45 fish which we did not order.

After calling the waiters attention he shook his shoulders pointing to the fish grill as if we had ordered it?

It was all very suspicious and we couldn’t understand how this waiter had came to the impression we wanted to order this fish when we had already ordered so many small starters.

The fact our octopus never arrived as well is very confusing. All in all they were not very helpful and we ended up paying €90 for what should’ve...
