My wife and I spent our last night down the street before flying back to the US. It was by far the best restaurant we experienced in Spain. Madrid, Barcelona, Mallorca, Toledo and Segovia.
This place is more than amazing. The service by the owner himself, it was slow for a Wednesday night m. Showed us the meats and fish 🐟 in person, Even showed us the kitchen. The atomsphere of the building would is unique solid wood Millwork everywhere. Traditional which we like. Full Character, this place is also second generation. Congratulations on your new baby in 2 months you are an enjoyable class act dude. Your English is not that bad. FYI.
Gave us a Potato salad and some sauce meat as a small Starter. It was so good see pic.
I started with an appetizer of clams with a thick broth sauce. Clams were perfect and the stew was so good, so delectable I kept eating the stew as well.
My wife had the monk fish and it was grilled with some olive oil and a little garlic. this was out of this world. White flakey cooked to perfection. I had the sirloin steak and was Cooked to medium as ordered.
Gave us an after dinner drink as complements.
Go out of your way to eat...
Read moreThe meat, the croquettes and the artichokes was absolutely excellent, fresh and tasty! However, the other dishes left something to be desired. The cheese plate was too small for the price, the pisto was bland and soggy, and the dessert selection was very poor. Perhaps the worst aspect of the experience was the service. I can see that the food quality of the restaurant is extremely high, especially in the meat department. However, the service and the vegetarian dishes were quite underwhelming and at points, subpar. Hopefully the staff was...
Read moreOK, I don't know if the food is bad, they definitely have quality judging by all the marbled beef they have in an aquarium like case positioned in the middle of the room. What I didn't read here was how expensive it was going to be. Despite that I ordered one of the most expensive items on the menu, Lomo varidad for 22 euro. It was just a plate of sliced cured meat... Like what you get at any supermarket in town... Some detail may have been lost to me, but I just couldn't get over how much I spent for the "meal" I was given. But like I said, I don't know if this is a good representation of what to expect. My Spanish is bad and I may have just ordered from the appetizers. If you look at some of the posted pics here, they do have delicious looking stuff. But yeah, it's a place you will have to spend quite a bit at. Lots of other option...
