4.5 stars La general has a wonderful atmosphere with lively- but not loud or distruptive- music and plenty of decorations. The staff were accommodating of our needs and questions advising what dishes could be made gluten free (for dinner) and making the alterations to dishes that we desired. I highly recommend the teriyaki chicken which was a spectacular meal of flavourful chicken, rice, walnuts, edamame beans and broccoli. One of my companions was gluten free and ordered the half chicken (with quinoa instead of potatoes) expecting roasted vegetables and was slightly disappointed to receive salad instead however we all agreed the food was divine. It wasn't exactly cheap but portion sizes were plenty and the quality was excellent so well worth the cost. I would like to reiterate how helpful and accommodating the staff were, despite possible language barriers, making our dinner memorable in the best way possible. However, being that the meal selection seems geared towards the hurried travellers or workers, the meals make perfect sense as they are quick but still filling. Or as seems to be the fad, sit at a high top with your laptop open and phone with earbuds and just ignore everyone. Unless you believe every eatery you visit in Spain MUST feel like traditional Spain or serve Tapas only, you wont be disappointed...

(You also have to go to try their pastrami sandwich with dijon mustard, a bit spicy but waooo, perfect...
