Empanadas Malvón — Restaurant in Madrid

Food amazing. We sat on some stools and ate at the bench. My husband went to pay and I went down some stairs to the toilet. There were no signs saying private o prohibido entrar. Suddenly I heard the assisstant speaking loudly saying "Out, out you can't be here"I was washing my hands and I apologised. She was really angry saying that it wasn't our house and I should have asked if there was a bathroom. We kept apologising and saying it was a mistake. But she didn't accept it and told my husband that he was distracting her so I could go down to use the bathroom. It was a horrible experience and we were left feeling like delinquents. My husband is Spanish and I am Irish and we have never experienced service like this...

Extra points for offering Cochinita Pibil empanada. The blue cheese and pear empanada was orgasmic!! Service was fast and decently good. I asked for salsita or chimichirri but for mt desmise, the guy told us they stopped offering because it wasn't popular. Anyway, I will come back to try an Humita empanadita. BTW the size of the empanadas...
