Restaurante La Tagliatella — Restaurant in Madrid

What an amazing time we had at La Tagliatella this evening. Let's start with the food. We ordered the trio of Bruschetta. We were impressed with all three versions, my favorite being the shrimp with the delicious pesto sauce. My partner, not a seafood eater, liked the traditional with pancetta. For main courses my partner had the rigotinni Bolognese and I had a dish that was lamb __. (I can't recall the name, but it's featured in a picture at the bottom right of the menu.) Amazing is all I have to say. This dish tasted better than anything I've ever had in Rome. The two servers and the manager were extremely friendly and provided excellent service, despite our limited Spanish speaking. I had an extremely negative experience at this restaurant. They did not accept any card issued in my country, and to make matters worse, the waitress showed no willingness to help or offer any alternative solutions.

We were forced to leave my passport with them and go out on the street at 11 PM to find an ATM and withdraw cash. This was completely unacceptable and put my safety at risk.

I left extremely dissatisfied with the service, and I want to warn other international visitors: make sure to confirm in advance if your payment method will be accepted, as the lack of support and preparedness from the staff can turn what should have been a pleasant experience into a...

As soon as we sat, we saw that the forks were dirty, asked the staff to replace it, which never came back till we asked for it. The appetizers were tasty, but only the veg ones and which we asked for. Service was pathetic, every single question the waiter had to go and check, totally zero knowledge of his own. Could not recommend anything without pork. I seriously recommend that you study your menu well before you go there. Beef medium well we ordered was given to us medium rare. Really bad service 😒.
