The menu of the day looked quite promising, offering a variety of interesting and flavorful dishes. The grilled vegetables seemed like a particularly appealing option, especially since the waiter mentioned the possibility of customizing it without chicken.

Service: Unfortunately, the service was far from satisfactory. Our order for grilled vegetables without chicken was mistakenly served with chicken. When we brought this to the waiter's attention Paco, his response was dismissive and unconcerned. He simply shrugged and said, "These things happen." This lack of empathy and attention to detail was disappointing, especially given the importance of dietary restrictions.

The wait for our corrected order was also unnecessarily long, further compounding the negative experience. While we waited, we noticed that the waiter seemed to be struggling to keep up with the demands of the restaurant, suggesting a lack of proper training or staffing. Desserts were also delayed and not all of them were delivered. "They did give us a complementary brownie as one of us were celebrating their birthday" and that was a nice gesture.

Vegan Options: The waiter's indifferent attitude towards our vegan request raised concerns about the restaurant's understanding of dietary restrictions. His comment that "these things happen" indicated a lack of awareness and sensitivity to the importance of providing accurate and consistent service for vegan customers.

Overall Recommendation: Our dining experience at Racers was marred by poor service and a lack of attention to detail. Despite the promising menu of the day, the overall experience left us feeling disappointed and frustrated. The incorrect order, the long wait times, and the unsatisfactory attitude of the waiter all contributed to a negative dining experience.

No te vas a encontrar en la mesa lo mismo que ves en las fotos... Fui por las fotos de las reseñas, pero luego lo que te ponían en la mesa no tenía nada que ver... El trato del dueño te hace sentir súper incómodo, no es una persona agradable. En resumen, no te recomiendo ir... Si vas luego no digas que no te avisé!! El pulpo estaba duro y chicloso, no se lo recomiendo a nadie, y la salsa que ponían debajo no tenía sabor, estaba insípida. Los pimientos, las bravas, y las croquetas sí nos gustaron. Nos sentamos en la terraza y estuvimos bastante "desatendidos", el camarero no salía afuera porque afuera estaba el dueño, pero en lugar de atender a la gente estaba sentado en una mesa con amigos tomándose algo. Media hora después de terminar de cenar nosotros (media hora de reloj, sin exagerar) por fin dirigió la mirada hacia dónde estábamos y le hicimos una señal para que viniera, queríamos postre pero nos dijo que la cocina estaba ya cerrada porque eran más de las 00:00 h (y era cierto, eran las 00:01h). Le dijimos que queríamos tarta de la abuela y dijo que iba a ver si podía hacer algo, entró y de allí a un rato salió y dijo que es que los cocineros ya estaban recogiendo. Le preguntamos si no nos podía él mismo cortar un trozo de tarta y servírnosla y dijo que no podía porque ya estaba la cocina cerrada y estaban recogiendo. Le dijimos que nos pusiese dos cafés para llevar y tuvo el detalle de invitarnos a los cafés, pero sinceramente eso no compensa el no haber podido tomar un postre por culpa de no habernos tenido bien atendidos. Yo en su lugar hubiese cortado un trozo de tarta y se la hubiese servido al cliente encantado. El local está decorado en plan motero, pero el ambiente no es motero para nada, ni los clientes tampoco. The place has a great ambiance the food is amazing we tried the nachos (!) One of the best homemade nachos in Madrid! -and the chicken fingers, different burgers, cachopo and the ribs portions are great, very well made! After lunch we had coffee and cheesecake (!) was soft and creamy all homemade and delicious! Highly recommend the place to anyone who are visiting or living/ working here!
