Bar Alegre is hands down the place to be on the eastern coast of Mallorca! The bar / cafe just recently opened this year and was easily our favorite spot to hang in the area. They are located on the property of Vista Alegre and about a half block from the ocean. The bar is outdoors and has an awesome vibe, and to top it off the people running it are AMAZING. Behind the counter at all times is Manuel, el Rey de la cocina! He was incredible, welcoming you each day like you were part of the family, making you anything on his menu in record time! If you love specialty coffee as well, you’re in for a treat as that’s right up his alley! Ask about his latte art, it’s really good :) Cristina and Hassina supported Manuel flawlessly. Always incredibly happy to see you and never hesitated to help, chat about our plans for the day or just to stop by and talk to get to know each other a bit more. The food and drinks at the bar and cafe cannot be understated. The location is unreal. The staff is 10/10. And the apartments on the property would make a perfect weekend (or week) away. This place is so good that on our road trip around Mallorca, I drove back 30mins to come here a second time. Why? Because I love a good brunch spot and this is one of the best places I’ve ever been to.

Starting with the location, you find yourself in a beautiful backyard with chill background music away from the street. The staff around Manuel is so so soooo friendly that they really deserve the name “Bar Alegre”.

They have a great menu with Spanish tapas, amazing burger and sandwich variations as well as super tasty brunch dishes. Since I had difficulty choosing, I can recommend Burger Alegre and especially the Toast Alegre (see picture). Both so tasty.

Finally for all the coffee lovers like myself, they have a great coffee machine and amazing beans. This was a very welcome upgrade to the regular cafe con leite you find elsewhere.

I don’t understand these Reviews, the food and service weren’t good , I got the tacos and was a bit shocked what I got for that price. And it wasn’t even tasty unfortunately. It was a soaked wet taco with only wet stuff on it, no bite nu crunch or anything like that. The smash burger wast smashed and boring , the bun cold and soaked. My son wanted the chicken, but there was no chicken. He got the black rice, that was delicious but was just a plain rice so nothing difficult or special. The cocktails were okay but not pretty. The flatbread and hummus were very delicious though. The service has an attitude like they don’t want to be there.
