AVOID AVIID AVOID. If you visit this wonderful beach I advise you not to eat at this restaurant, eat elsewhere (away from beach) or bring a picnic. There is a reason why there is only one restaurant at this beach and it’s for the same reason they are still in business, there are dealings in the background!! I had the unfortunate experience of trying to eat here. Not knowing the menu or working hours, I went to find out. The restaurant has a terrace with plastic chairs and also an inside area with nicer chairs/ decor. The menu was not very exciting but I was sure I’d be able to find something that I could eat , and anyway, not much choice since there is only one restaurant to choose from. I spoke to two women and then a man, they appeared helpful. The man explained that it’s cash only because he has an internet problem - the first lie. I had a full internet connection on my phone so why couldn’t the restaurant have internet. Even the women selling sun bed hire had a portable POS terminal AND so did the two girls selling women’s clothes. On top of this, all the menus and printed signage around the restaurant all say cash only. I mean, it’s not like suddenly the internet broke and they could only accept cash, it was planned this way. Taking cash only is done for a reason!! Then I was told by all of the staff that I talked to that there is no need for reservation after 2pm. Great, I’d go back later when I was more hungry. Went back later and wanted to sit in the inside part, only to be told there was no room. I could see “reserved” on some tables and I thought it was strange. Other tables were empty. One women with blonde hair was very rude and started to shout at me when I said I was told that there was no need to reserve. I asked another man and he at first tried to help but then he made himself busy. Then I saw the man who I spoke to earlier and I explained the issue. He looked interested at first, that he would resolve the issue, but no, he then said every table was busy but I pointed to an empty table and he said it’s reserved. It’s the worst customer service EVER. I asked if I can reserve for later or even another day, to check the reservations book with them (I was curious what bookings were made for the day). The old man there refused to take my reservation and when asked why, he replied “it’s my restaurant and I can do what I want”. Those exact words. This restaurant does not operate like any normal business - liars, cheaters, cash only (hmmmm), THE WORST...
Read moreWe visited this place early, right after opening, thinking we could avoid the issues mentioned in other reviews. Unfortunately, we experienced the exact same problems.
All shaded tables were marked as "reserved," yet the place was nearly empty and remained that way for hours. No option to book in advance was offered. Only tables under direct sun were available.
We didn't even stay for coffee because of how rude the woman in charge was. She openly told us we were "not important" and that we should just take whatever is left without complaining. Very unpleasant atmosphere. It’s a shame because the location is great, but the poor management and rude service ruin the whole experience. Seems like they don't care because there are no alternatives on the beach. Bring your own food or find another place — it’s...
