Avoid this place at all costs, firstly we were made to wait 30mins just to be seated (6 persons) whilst we stood waiting on the side street part of the restaurant and then when we were finally seated we waited around 20-30 mins to have our orders taken.
We then had to wait a further 1hour 40mins before we had finally waited enough so asked the waiter how long our food was going to take..?? His reaction was actually very rude although we had asked him quite politely considering the wait. He said “we have been nice to you and seated you so why are you giving me a problem” I replied with I'm not giving you a problem i would just like to know how long our food was going to take and that seating us wasn’t enough an explanation or justification to not being served as 3 other tables had arrived much after us and been served their orders within a reasonable time. The waiter actually acted as if i had asked him for his life savings … i replied we are going to wait 5 more mins or we are getting up and going elsewhere, just then a miracle occurred and within mins most of our order was served. So with that in mind we thought ok at least the food is here and we’re expecting it to taste amazing but OMG..!!!!!!!!
The food itself was disgusting to say the least, being asian and having dined out in various different Indian restaurants we know enough on how the food should taste, this food was absolutely flavourless, this restaurant should think about changing the name to MASALA-LESS because the chef has not got a clue about indian food all we could taste in everything was the same tomato sauce and pure GINGER in EVERY DISH. The blandest FOOD EVERRRR..!!!! NOT WORTH THE WAIT OR THE MONEY..!!!! We spent £135 for this monstrosity. They didn’t even apologise for the wait or even offer a discount.
OVERVIEW:: Rude staff, disgusting food, overpriced. Needs to be renamed BLAND OR...
Read moreAvoid this Indian. We walked past the restaurant several times and it smelt very inviting so we thought we would give it a go. We ordered onion bahjis and popadums for stater and the popadoms were stale there was no crunch in them soggy and chewy. We noticed lumpy bits in the mint sauce on arrival of table when got a spoon and fished the bits out it was bits of popadum which means this has been re used from previous people. 🤢 then onto the onion bahjis started eating the bahjis and both of mine and my partners were raw in the middle not cooked properly the batter mix was soggy and not cooked. My partner and myself was disappointed with the starters we were getting nervous as we both had ordered chicken dishes and if they can’t cook a banjo then what is the main going to be like so we decided to cancel our main dishes and pay for what we had the waitress got very defensive and told us the chicken is lovely. We were not prepared to take the risk but she was very pushy. And wanted us to continue with the meal. We had looked at reviews and there are several reviews saying that the chick was not cooked from previous people or gone off. And the is what you call lovely chicken?? We are so glad we made that decision now we have read the previous reviews. The environment in the restaurant was not the most pleasant either you were surrounded by empty tables of dirty dishes food on the floor...
Read moreMade the visit yesterday with Mrs and little-un. 18:30 we walked past as the number isn't recognised to try and call but we didn't need a reservation it was empty. So we leave for a drink and returned an hour later. The speed of service is a huge issue. The food was okay it was nice to have something different to the usual hotel grub. But it took 40mins for the first drinks to arrive. Poppadom starter arrived after being there for an hour. 1hr45 the 3 curries, 3 rice and 1 naan arrived. By the time we had our food there were 3 groups of people shouting at the staff (1 chef, 1 woman running mostly everything, 1 chap putting cutlery in tissue and a third lad trying to take orders. People had been there for over two hours and not been provided with everything leading to a few upset families. We left half of what was eventually provided and left. I felt sorry for the lady trying to hold it together but they blatantly cannot cope with the amount of covers they have set up. I suspect they may try to review this in the future I've never seen a restaurant struggle like that and have to deal with multiple irate families and groups like that. Go when they are empty and you may have a more traditional restaurant experience 🤞£71.70 for 3 meals, poppadom & chutney, 1 plain naan, 1 pint and 2...
