Restaurante Maysi — Restaurant in Manacor

Decided we wanted to eat outside of our all inclusive resort to support local places, “restaurant” opened at 12 noon and we arrived at 1pm. Ordered two drinks (soft drink and beer which somehow totalled €9.50) and was told kitchen was closed - despite other Spanish people dining here? Chef standing in kitchen with arms crossed. Possibly didn’t want to serve us? Protest related perhaps? Only a couple with a sleeping baby! Came here on the basis of other Google reviews,...

Was unsure where to eat in the area got bored of all inclusive food in the hotel and decided to dine out saw the food was reasonably priced didn't have high expectations but decided to try it out anyway...the food was beautiful we all enjoyed our meals and the portion sizes were generous. The service wasn't the best but for me I would return because the food more than made up for it, cost just over 50 euros but that included 2 glasses of wine 2 ciders...

My wife and I arrived with our (sleeping) 2 year old son. We were refused food even though several Spanish tables were eating. Was told that the kitchen was closed even though it obviously wasn’t.

Massively overcharged for 2 drinks (Pepsi max and 1 pint was €9.75) when according to the menu it should have been much cheaper than this.

Not sure if this is related to the recent Majorca strikes/politics but certainly wouldn’t bother wasting...
