The sa para restaurant is a little of the beaten track out of the main tourist area of the port & is set just of the main road very close by to a local supermarket . The sa parra's atmosphere & vibe is a fusion of Spanish/majorcan rustic decor & some modern features which all blend in well with the buildings style which is an antique property that has been renovated to a high standard in its interior without loosing it's antique charm . The bar is a pleasure to view & has a variety of different drinks that are local to the island & also has a fair selection of international spirits e.g whiskeys & brandy's , all upon display , plus a good wine selection & beer in bottles & on tap . The sa parra also has a good coffee machine & upon my visit I did try the decaffeinated option just for a change , & I was impressed with it's taste & flavour . The staff here are welcoming & friendly & prompt on service . The food on offer here is particularly good value & of much lower cost than in the port area & the drinks prices are modest also . The range of dishes here vary from cakes & pastries to salad & snacks & it's very special paella !! , which is very popular with the locals & I'm sure tourists alike , if they pop in like myself by chance , it is a little bit special !! . I have enclosed some pictures of the sa parra & if you visit yourself I'm sure you'll be taking a good few of your own ! . The sa parra is an ideal place for a romantic evening meal for two , a night out with friends , or just a good cup of coffee in the day . A must place visit for those who enjoy a more traditional rustic majorcan/Spanish style atmosphere & quality food & drinks @ sensible prices . Can only recommend.

A very welcoming place where me and my friend had a chance to taste the best Mallorcan red wine (we ordered a bottle that was not cheap, but was so worth it!) and best of all what could be the best paella I had tasted (and I tell you it was not the first one!). I am Spanish and I can say that it was exceptional. I don’t like sea-food and (as compared to some “castle place” I called before) they were flexible enough to make a “meat paella” for us. The place, though being next to a local road, is very pleasant, with greenery all around and a familiar welcoming. The capuchino was elaborate and the “granizado de almendra” was an amazing discovery. Here goes one of my very few 5 out of 5s! For those who want to take a breather from the touristy tracks, here is one for you!

An authentic local restaurant and all the better for it. Absolutely no pretensions. It serves wonderful Mallorcan food, I imagine like at home. The welcome was warm but to our surprize every table had been reserved. The lady quickly found us a small table for three and squeezed us in. Within minutes everyone arrived on tables of 6 and 8. However the service was first rate and through broken Spanish we order a selection from the blackboard. The lighting is a bit stark but the atmosphere was buzzing. Highly recommended and half he price of the tourist places.
