Vela Beach — Restaurant in Manacor

This review is purely aimed towards the manager in particular. After a long day we both thought a walk along the beach would be a nice idea and there were tables and chairs situated above the beach. As we went to sit down a worker comes over with a menu so we asked him if it was ok for us just to sit for about 15 minutes and enjoy the view, the worker said no we needed to buy something- which we completely understood. As we were about to order, the manager charges over to us shouting at us to get off the chairs and go back to our hotel. We were very polite to this man however he continued to be extremely rude and continued to shout at us. This completely ruined the mood of the whole evening and put us off the restaurant as a whole. Bear in mind there was no one at the restaurant at the time, it was 22:30 so very quiet. The manager should not be speaking to people in the manor he does as it is simply uncalled for. This was our first holiday together as a couple and we can safely say we will not...

The waiter Yassin was very helpful and kind. He delivered the best service. However the food wasn’t of good quality. We spend 60€ and we regret it ! We ordered 3 carbonara pasta’s. One dish came with hair that looked like from someone’s beard.. I went inside to talk about this and the person from the kitchen simply said that he didn’t know where it came from and rudely denied it was in the dish in the first place. Luckily Yassin came to talk to me and apologised on that other persons behalf. He proposed to make a new carbonara dish. When the food came.. It was of terrible quality so in the end my wife and I hardly ate anything. So it was money thrown away and we also were upset because of the way the kitchen had handled the incident. It is a pity because the location is great and Yassin is a great waiter! We do hope that they improve the quality of the carbonara dish and that they learn from...

I have been at the bay, needed to go to the toilet and asked kindly the waiter :) I entered: it was clean yeayy and me: happy, haha!

I made a spontaneous decision and had a look at the menu - boss was next to me and I asked him about their favourite appetizer: he mentioned „croquetas“ (I looove it but at this moment I wanted some seafood) and agreed that the „mussels“ are a good choice and it was!! (Ok, it was a little too salty for me but I asked for bread and the waiter - even if it was busy then - didn’t show some reaction because hey, he was in hurry to declare a wrong dish from another table. That’s alright :) After all, he really heard my wish and brought it after 3 min)
