We went for lunch with local friends who have been several times before. We were all hugely disappointed. The food is only ok - I mean, in a Greek restaurant you can’t really get a Greek salad and moussaka wrong. But….the terrible attitude of the lady (the owner maybe?) serving us. She should go to charm school for sure. She started by telling us what they didn’t have - no gyros, no halloumi, several other things, some excuse about being out of season?!? Said she’d rather be in Mykonos! Great start. Moussaka is listed as medium or large portion. We ordered medium, to be told ‘I only have large’. My partner laughed, followed by ‘What are you laughing at?’ She tries to upsell everything - dips aren’t served with pita bread so that iscextra, of course. Confusion about my friend wanting to order biteki - a Greek hamburger for €9.50 - told they didn’t have it, so suggested Angus steak skewers instead for the same price. It was 2 skewers of strange oblong shaped meat (looked processed) and 3 grilled vegetables. When the bill came, they charged €25 for it!!!!! It was a starter portion at best. Absolute rip off. Tiny cans of coke too. And to top it all, only cash payment so I had to find an ATM. The lady was so rude all through the meal, no apology for mistakes, wafted her hand at the small chalk board that said cash only. I told her when she’s taking time to tell customers what they don’t have on the menu, she should also say they don’t have the facility to take card payments either! I see from other reviews that they haven’t learned that lesson. A place that keeps repeating the same errors with terrible attitude doesn’t deserve to last much longer. Maybe she’ll be back in Mykonos sooner that...
Read moreWe were so disappointed by our last visit and it’s a shame as we used to eat here regularly. We ordered one glass of wine and they poured a glass and then put the bottle in a wine cooler next to us. I told them we only wanted a glass and they acknowledged what I said, but then proceeded to top up the glass again even when we explained we didn’t want it. When the bill came they tried to charge us for the bottle and when we refused, they told us they had to open a new bottle for us and it was a special one they had brought in from Greece, even though it was a Verdejo that clearly said ‘produce of Spain’ on the back. The food and general service have also gone massively downhill and the female owner was quite happily smoking in the kitchen; the whole thing was reminiscent of a Faulty Towers sketch! We’ve recommended this place to so many people and I’ve previously left a good review for them, but I will never eat here again now
In response to the owner we categorically did not order a bottle as only one person at the table was drinking and just asked for a glass and your waiter’s exact words were ‘it’s expensive because we have to import it from Greece’ so I showed him clearly on the back it was a Spanish product. The waiter was so embarrassed by your behaviour that he even offered to pay...
Read moreThe food here is not great, it's probably one of the worst meals I've had in the area. Dips brought out on a selection board to tempt you to order, when you order nothing comes with them?! So you have to wait for some pitta, which wasn't pitta it was corn bread before you can eat them, otherwise you're eating houmous and taramasalata with a fork! The food on the menu isn't all available to order if you sit in, some only for take away which is odd, it's actually more like a take away with a few patio tables outside, there is no real interior. Two veggie options only one can be ordered to eat in, a greek salad, which to be fair was my friend said was tasty. The pork gyros were tiny and the worst quality meat, full of fat with some lukewarm chips on the side. Chicken kebab as chicken gyros not available to sit in were the ready prepared cubes of chicken that you can buy in Aldi or Mercadona, tasteless, lukewarm, poor quality and served with some more cold chips. The bifteki was tiny with cold chips. Only one lady serving which isn't her fault, but this led to terrible service and long waits. Also there is a minimum spend per person of €20. If you want a kebab head to Smileys which is round the corner, you'll get faster service...
