Carlos y Paula by Carísa — Restaurant in Marbella

Since Carlos y Paula moved to the new location in front of the Marriott they changed! Still at a great location with a great view. Prices were always high but now they are outrages. Our waiter was ver friendly. Food quality and preparation wereless than mediocre. I had muscles in tomato sauce. Presumably steamed in the sauce. Half of the muscles were cold and just the sauce was sort of warm - maybe the microwave malfunctioned? I complained about this and and was told they would tell the chef. That was it - never heard an excuse or an explanation. So I assume they are really microwaving with very poor results. Not going to eat there again - as long as they don’t change...

Our dining experience here was fantastic. We started with the avocado and prawns. Delicious! Our group of 3 shared the Caesar Salad. It is huge and loaded with tasty things.

My husband had the shrimp pasta diavalo, it was really good with a nice spicy finish. My friend & I both had the grilled Sea Bass. It was perfectly cooked and fresh.

The views are amazing and the staff was top notch. They went out of their way to ensure we were taken care of. The open air restaurant, right next to the ocean is truly something you should experience.

Booked a table arrived on time we were directed to our table, ordered drinks at which point the the manager came to take our order. We requested one starter as my wife only wanted a main course, and said we would order mains after my starter. For some reason the manager gave us a point blank NO! Refused to take any order. We paid for our drinks and left. One of the most appalling attitudes we have ever received. Even the other waiters appeared embarrassed by his behaviour! We will not return.
