Ristorante Bella Luna Marbella — Restaurant in Marbella

I am quite unsure how this restaurant has so many good reviews… apart from the very friendly service, and great allergy advice, I couldn’t find anything else to give the restaurant compliments on. The restaurant is at the side of a busy road. The food and drinks were average, even if they were served with a smile. For a pizza/ pasta restaurant the pizza we had was very unimpressive, and the salmon pasta was overwhelmingly fishy and ultimately inedible. There was ‘chicken curry risotto’ on the menu…. Need I say more? Unfortunately an already average evening turned was ultimately ruined when the entertainment (an old man singing in the corner reading lyrics off his iPad while downing pints and rolling cigarettes) made sexist outdated jokes on the microphone. I cannot believe that people continued to clap his performances of YMCA mixed with Josh Turner and Ed Sheeran after this outrageous comment, and left extremely disappointed with my evening. Ended up spending over €240 between 5 people on a very bad evening, so it wasn’t exactly cheap...

Just ordered a lobster salad . The lobster meat came out the size of my thumb and so over cooked it was hard , so i rolled the lobster shell over thinking the meat was there and it was totally empty ! It came on just a bed of a few lettuce leaves (not what I would expect as a salad main course) with one small cherry tomato but the lettuce was bitter and un-edable, when I spoke to the waiter he offered me a side of vegetables ! Don't know why I would want these when I was expecting a salad. I sent it back as it couldn't be eaten and went without a meal while the rest.of the family ate theirs , the service then just went down hill and took us nearly an hour to get the bill and pay , to which they gave me 10% discount €2.60 on on meal I returned un eaten through no fault.of mine . We ordered three pizzas, two of which were the Bellaluna which clearly state on the menu that they have tomato. I do not like non tomato based pizzas so would not have ordered it if it were not clear on the menu. After a while I managed to get a waiters attention to ask to see the menu again as I was sure it said tomato on the menu. He looked at me as If I were stupid and said this pizza doesn't have tomato. He then went and got a menu and said quite angrily that he could get another one made, bearing it mind it took about 10 mins to get someone's attention I said it was ok, however he just walked off and did not acknowledge the mistake. For €17 euros a pizza I would have expected them to offer a drink on the house or a small discount as an apology. The other pizza which has tomato base was really good hence even with the poor service and experience I am still...
