El Jardin — Restaurant in Marbella

As a local I have not been here since last summer when they made a mess of a breakfast order for myself and a friend, however yesterday I was passing with my wife, daughter and her friend, we decided to stop for an ice-cream for my daughter and her friend, my wife and I decided we were would have a drink. We ordered our G&Ts and the girls went to order their ice-cream tubs from the stall, my daughter went to pay and they insisted that it be added to our bill. Myself and wife had 2 gin and tonics each. When we asked for the bill I noticed an automatic 10% service added to the bill. This meant the ice-creams which would have been €4.50 each if paid for at the stall are now €4.95 and our G&Ts worked out just under €11 each. This is beyond a joke, the average price for a G&T on the Prado road up to and including the Pueblo is between €5.50 and €8.00. I'll definitely not be bothering to...

Worst experience ever!

Ordered pizza and pasta for my family. Spaghetti was reheated, they said it wasn’t off course. Then I said I will change to penne arrabbiata. This plate is with 1kg garlic not chopped but sliced hahahaha. Unfortunately forgot to make a picture because when I said I don’t want the pasta the so called manager said I am going to pay for it. He said this is the second plate you cancel. The second plate was worse!!!! If you want garlic with penne this is the best place in town. I even doubted myself and searched for the recipe. Arrabiata means literally angry, that was the manager for sure. Rude and angry and even almost wanted to get violent with me over a dish of pasta. I was with my little daughter and wife so obviously not the best vibe. If you want drinks this place is great if you want food...

My family and I had dinner here last night, it was terrible. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive, the kids burgers were under cooked, my pizza was awful and my wife’s fish and chips was barely edable. When we sent the burgers back as they were under cooked, they simply put the burger in the microwave to finish the cooking. We even heard the microwave ping when they were ready. All of us left half of the food on the plate as it was so bad! When we paid the bill we said to waitress that it was the worse meal that we had on our holiday and she didn’t seem interested. If they really cared about their restaurant they would have been interested in our feedback, but they weren’t, we just got an embarrassed “sorry” from the waitress. Poor food quality, poor cooking, poor service, avoid visiting...
