NOMAD RESTAURANT
We recently visited Nomad Restaurant Marbella and had the pleasure of experiencing one of the most outstanding dining experiences in recent memory, which we evaluated through our VELARIS Rating System (VRS).
What we ordered:
Napoletana Rigatoni (Main course) – 9.0/10: Delicious, well-garnished, with a rich and balanced sauce. A touch more cheese would have elevated it further.
Dry-Aged Premium Beef Fillet 250g (Main course) – 9.0/10: Exceptional quality meat, cooked perfectly to medium-rare as requested, complemented by a tasteful sauce.
Buttered Mash (Side) – 9.0/10: Creamy, well-flavored, and served in a generous portion.
Nomad Tiramisu (Dessert) – 10.0/10: Exquisite presentation, melting effect at the table, and easily the best tiramisu we’ve had in years.
Ratings:
Food & Drink: 9.5/10 (Outstanding) Service: 9.7/10 (Exceptional) Hospitality: 9.1/10 (Outstanding) Ambience: 8.6/10 (Excellent) Cleanliness & Hygiene: 9.7/10 (Exceptional) Value for Money: 8.2/10 (Very Good) Convenience: 10.0/10 (Exceptional) Menu & Drinks: 9.5/10 (Exceptional)
Notes & Observations:
Ambience & Style: Absolutely astonishing interior – a classy, stylish, and modern restaurant with an elegant flair. Quite possibly one of the most beautiful restaurants we have visited in years.
Professional Service: Staff were impeccably dressed and highly attentive. For example, one member (in a stylish beige suit) discreetly replaced a less-than-perfect glass without a word – an act of quiet professionalism.
Personal Touch: The manager himself prepared crêpes tableside for guests – a sympathetic and impressive touch. He personally greeted us, presented the menu of the day, and later opened the door as we left, wishing to see us again. These gestures elevated the hospitality to a personal, memorable level.
Extras: Complimentary bread with both truffle butter and regular butter was served at the start – a delicious introduction to the meal.
Accessibility: Wheelchair and stroller access is available. Ample free parking is provided.
Areas for Improvement: Music was slightly too loud for our preference. In addition, table neighbors smoked throughout the evening, which affected the otherwise perfect atmosphere (not the restaurant’s fault, but worth noting for sensitive guests).
Final Impression:
With its outstanding cuisine, polished professionalism, and unforgettable ambience, Nomad Restaurant Marbella stands as an unmissable dining destination. Every detail reflects refinement and care, from ingredient quality to staff attentiveness.
Overall Score: 9.3/10 – Outstanding ⭐ Unmissable. Highly recommended.

Read moreSadly a prospectively great place sopiled but an over all feeling that the only interest is to take as much of your money as possible. I waited a week before writing this. I took the trouble to explain my feelings at some length in the internal satisfaction survey but till now no response. My complaint: we were the first patrons on a weeknight. Impossible that the establishment was fully booked all night. Wer were politely seated at an appropriate table. After 5 minutes the next patrons arrived with children and in an empty restaurant were sat right next to us!! We wants a little privacy and found the children playing under the table next to us to be a distraction and asked to be moved. We were kindly accomodated. But noted the policy to fill tables adjacent tables in order. We made a recommendation that this was inappropriate but received no feedback. We enjoyed an excellent meal.. good recommendations for an affordable but top tasting wine from the attentive maitre. Service was excellent as was the quality of the food. There was a top quality and unexpected (we had asked at the tile of reservation and told that on Thursday there was no show) dancing show over our desert. Excellent. Desert was also good. We ordered 2 after dinner shots and requested the bill, which we received and paid. All good. About 270€. We gladly paid a normal tip. 😌 service was good. The bitter taste was the bill which was expensive for 2 starters 1 main 1x50€ wine, and desert with after dinner drinks. It is normal to have an after dinner drink invited in Spanish restaurants. We were simply charged of ours... ok.. we noted the charge for cover, bread, ... all felt like an expensive (if delicious) meal was being "inflated" bit by bit... We were politely dismissed and went home feeling like another cattle driver through the commercial marbella cash mangling restaurant scene. I do hope someone from the restaurant reads a this and does something . Even the food and service is good in a great place, that personal feeling that one is a valued guest, was definitely missing. I doubt we will return. There are too many good restaurants where one is "just another tourist to be exploited"...

Items were added to our bill that were not ordered and when we questioned this we were made out to be liars and told aggressively never to come back by the owner who did not even want to try to understand our point of view. (Don't worry, we are in no rush to return!) It was quite traumatic because as a group of black ladies, we were made to feel horrible for speaking up.
What was supposed to be a lovely end to a beautiful trip turned into a nightmare.
The waitress made assumptions (confirmed by the manager), the manager authorised a change of meal - but still charged for both and he confirmed a drink that was taking long to arrive was not on the receipt, apologised and then brought it out but still charged twice for it! So many errors were made.
Very sneaky and unwelcoming towards the end which was a shame as prior to this the entertainment and some of the food was nice.
Response to restaurant reply: Typical response to race was expected but not warranted, however I merely mentioned our race to highlight our history with experiences like this and it being traumatic. I did not imply that you were racist. But thanks for pointing out that you champion diversity.
Waitress and manager confirmed the assumption about the water. Manager also confirmed that meal replacement was fine. I have already seen a pattern in reviews of adding extra items to the bill. You have defended what you wanted but the error of adding to drinks when the manager confirmed it was not ordered initially and proceeded to bring out one and still charged double confirmed your sly behaviour. Judging by the reviews we are not the only ones who have experienced this.
The entertainment and food is not what sustains a business like yours for long, it's the whole experience including how disputes are handled. You can catch more flies with honey...
